Impressions of Love

Krishna said “Just Love! Love is the greatest worship.” Everywhere it is said Love is God. God is present in the heart of Man as Love. So the greatest worship is to offer this Love to the Divine.

Love's Pearls of WIsdom from Mahavatar Babaji

As we stand on a green hill filled the wild flowers of springtime in the Great Himalayas, we view the higher snow-capped mountains in the distance. Holding two sticks of round, smooth wood, I hand you one stick. I challenge you to a dance, accompanied by music, which dates back to the warrior class of Indian martial arts spiritual practices. This takes concentration and connects your energy with the other person with whom you are dancing. For if one does not pay strict attention to where the other person’s stick is aimed, and you do not connect or ”defend” with your stick, you may feel a hit to the physical form. Practice this in meditation with me. Many of you will be surprised at the resulting energy you feel within. As Arjuna and Krishna taught you, one’s dharmic intention is very important in dancing, war and all life. And remember, the Gopis enjoyed dancing with Krishna!

Winning the Ultimate Goal of Life

Make the ultimate goal of your life Divine love, and surrender to it. You know what God wants from you? Surrender your mind to Him, continuously. Surrender your mind to the lotus feet of God, to the feet of your Guru, to the feet of any Divine master. And free yourself. Free yourself from the mind, free yourself from all the misery that you created. So when you free your mind, you realise the Divine everywhere in every aspect, every small thing. Even the clothes you are wearing are divine. Each atom is divine.

-Swami Vishwananda

Winning The Ultimate Goal of Life

Restless souls strive in the night to bring home
The fruit of their soul’s response to the maya of the day.
This is the offering of your day to the Divine,
For, without God, man is lost in the wilderness of time.

Roots of birth and lives lived in many bodies. . .
Yet, have memories stored forever in the present
Moment of the current lifestream.
These soul memories offer this lifetime a storehouse
Of experience, learning and fortitude
Against the storms of life and human love.

Grief rests in flashes of light sent outward from within.
To purify grief of any type of material loss,
One must run the race and win the Ultimate Goal of Life,
By giving everything to God and holding nothing back.
One must surrender to the Divine everything and
Tear asunder, through surrender, all of the material world,
Even our grief and worldly desires of any nature and kind!

The bright red color of the cardinal bird stands
Out in the environment in which
It wings its way through life.
The red bird is a mystic symbol for the red blood of the
Pentecostal Christ; and to the Yogis it symbolizes
The Shakti energy of awakening light.

So it is that those who surrender to the Divine
– Everything –
From riches to pauper to halo and crown,
Like the Red Bird, will stand out in life’s environment.
And they will attain the Ultimate Goal of Life,
- Divine Love -
To rest in the Heavenly Worlds of Love Divine. . .
In the many mansions of the Mother-Father God.
Amen and OM!

Transcending Death

We are here to transcend death, to become the light that we truely are. But who really wants to become this light? Many people try it, and then they say, “It’s too long. It’s too much.” This is lack of patience. It is the goal of your Self. It’s true that we should not be attached to the body, but the body itself is divine, the mind itself is divine, so the spirit itself is divine. They are all one. And there is no difference. So, transcend the body into light.

Swami Sings "Narayana Hari Om"

Narayana

Narayana Hari Om,
Lakshmi, Narayana, Hari OM
Guru Vishwananda, Vishwananda, Guru OM.
Ananda, Ananda, Ananda, OM.

Bliss, pearls, diamonds, gold, spacecraft,
Those thoughts of random do stop somewhen,
And thereby silence turns into gold.
The dark of night calls one to his eternal home.
The light of day brings forth
Our crust of bread and pot of jam.

Rainbows light the sky after a rainstorm; why?
The Divine placed the rainbow in the sky
When He somberly and faithfully promised:
“I will Not tear asunder the Earth again
By inundating it with water."
Fire and brimstone, instead,
He has sent into many lives,
Through many minds and many hearts,
As the Kali Age merges, even now in your time,
Into the Golden Age of Forevermore all-time.

Babies cry when they are hungry,
Man creates havoc in another way.
When he is spiritually hungry,
Man conveys his message to God,
In a juvenile way. . .
By destroying the home that
God so lovingly and freely has given,
Plus many, many more things,
In his sandbox he calls time,
He has done, brother to brother to brother.

On land and sea man has fought the battle
Of life and death and life forevermore.
Do not wait until the ravishes of old age
To lay your burden down at the feet of Narayana.
Narayana is available to each and everyone in prayer,
Meditation, verse, chant and song,
And in your heart of hearts.

So sing your songs and chant your divine names
And ride the crest of time to live forevermore
In the dimensions beyond space and time
With The Divine and Supreme Narayana. . .
Chanting every step along your way. . .
“Narayana, Hari OM. . .Lakshmi, Narayana, Hari OM .”

Love's Pearls of Wisdom - Mahavatar Babaji - Guru Trust

GURU  TRUST

Time stands still in Mati, Greece as

Early evening waves on the Mediterranean Sea
Gently crash against the shore at sunset . . .
Now
quickly fading into the first
Violet-blue embers of twilight.

Four sit on the sand absorbed

In Atma Kriya meditation,
In attunement with their Guru,
Sri Swami Vishwananda | Mahavatar Babaji.

Winter time, when the wind-chill factor
Causes one to feel frozen to the bone,
Seems very far away . . .

That time in life when the Guru was
Not consciously present in the heart
And every thought and action.

Meditation vibrations of peace and harmony transport me to
Mahavatar Babaji’s Himalayan Cave.
He awaits my arrival, and response to His Call, dressed
In white dhoti reaching from waist to mid-calf.

I am wearing the traditional Swami ochre robe as I
Prostrate in front of Him in love, devotion and gratitude.
As we sit in padnamaskar facing each other,

Mahavatar takes his finger

And draws a cross in His right palm.
Red blood oozes out of his seemingly
Human skin in a simple cross of two lines –
One vertical and one horizontal.
He holds up his hand and requests that I
Look at my right hand and, behold,
I have an identical cross of red blood across my palm,
Keeping its shape mysteriously by His Will.

Babaji requests I place my hand against His hand.
He asks me: “If I were to request you to stand before
A group of people, show them this cross of blood
And talk about Guru-disciple trust,
Would you do it? My mind hesitates and
I think: Oh, I have failed my ParamGuru’s test.
He says: “Never mind that!”
This is an opportunity to learn to trust the Guru . . .
Unconditionally!

"You see every human comes into life

With karmic and personal crosses to bear.
The goal is to surrender, always, to the Divine
Like the Christ showed you when He prayed
In the Garden of Gethsemane:
‘Dear Father in Heaven, let this cup [the crucifixion]
Pass from me,
But let not My Will but your Will be done.’
“And like Arjuna on the battlefield
When he chose Krishna, Himself,
As his defender of victory over a vast army instead.

“When trusting and surrendering to the Guru,
The Love and Devotion for the Divine in your Heart

Is in direct proportion to the Shakti,
The Divine energy, you receive.

So Let It Be according to Divine Will.
Forever and ever, Om and Amen!”

Swami Vishwananda Tells a Story

Swami Vishwananda Tells a Story:
There was once a boy who went to see God and on the way he met a great Sadhu standing on one leg with the hand up. So when he went to meet God, the Sadhu said to him, “As you are going to meet God, I have one question: Ask God when will I attain liberation?”

So the boy met God and asked all the questions. On the way back he met the Sadhu, who asked “So…have you met God?” He said “Yes, I met him.” The Sadhu said “What did God say?” The boy answered, “Well, the He told me that the Sadhu still has some karmic things to do. You still have to take birth three times before
attaining Him.” Well, at that moment, the Sadhu was very enraged and said, “All my tapasya, all my sadhana that I have been doing and still I have to take birth three times!”

The boy was very calm and joyful. So the Sadhu said “Oh, I am sure you are your last time here.” The boy said “Oh, my dear Sadhuji, it’s not like that. Do you see this tamarind tree? A leaf of the tamarind is very, very, very small, so there are many hundreds of leaves. I have to take as much births and then only I will attain Him." Then the Sadhu looked at him, “Are you stupid? Why are you so happy?” Then he said “Well, it doesn’t matter. I know that at the end I will attain Him.” At that moment he heard a Divine voice saying “Throughout all these tapasya the Sadhu had been doing, all the lives of this boy with the pure heart are erased and he attains ‘
mukthi.”

This shows that it’s not about how much one has done, but how one is doing it. Love has to be there. If you do things out of love, the Divine will run to you. You just need to do one step. This one step is to do it with love. Then He will do everything. She will do everything. But as long as there is not this one step from your side, it will be difficult. The Divine Mother will help you to become like that, so that this one step can be done with a pure heart.

Gurupurnima with Swami Vishwananda 2012

Gurupurnima with Sri Swami Vishwananda was the most special of all the ones to which I have been. Several people also said that to me today. Swami was slim and looked like he did 7 years ago when I met him. The spiritual energy was very high and everyone seemed happy.

In the early morning we did morning prayers. This was followed by 108 bhajans sang throughout the day by different groups from different countries, which has become a tradition of Guru Purnima in recent years. In the evening Swami gave the blessing and the devotees offered their gifts to Swami, the Krishna Arpan. Swami spoke about surrender and how we do not have to come back and have other lifetimes if we choose to surrender now in this lifetime.

During the day Swami told us that he wanted all the Swamis to give a talk. The pictures you see of me speaking were taken while Swami was receiving the rose petals from devotes. All were beautifully blessed.

Gurupurnima with Sri Swami Vishwananda

Dear Readers, today I leave for Shree Peetha Nilaya and I will be there until September 18. I have not seen Swami in the physical since last September, 9 months ago. I am so happy and I am greatly looking forward to this visit with my Satguru, my Swami, my Lord. All of you who read this blog will be in my thoughts and heart during Gurupurnima with our dearly Beloved, Sri Swami Vishwananda.

Vishwananda, My Master, My Lord

When the rain pours
I think of Him whom I love the most,
When a baby smiles and my heart fairly bursts
With the purest love,
I think of Him.

When two turtle doves purr in song and unison,
I think of Him.
When the presence of God stills my heart and mind,
I think of Him.

When the Sacred Ganges River of India’s
Snowy peaks comes into my remembrance,
And I am walking with Mahavatar Babaji there,
I think of Him

When horses in the pasture rub their noses together
In friendship and caring,
I think of him.

When I am on the top of a snowy mountain
In Colorado, USA’s great Rocky Mountains,
And I am reminded of the Himalayas,
I think of Him.

When I do daily chores,
Pet a dog,
Kiss the sweet cheek of an innocent child
I think of Him.

If truth be told, He is in my Heart
My every breath, and
In every cell from head to toes.
He is my Everything.

And now to Gurupurnima 2012,
That year the Satguru says:
“Something is always happening,
But in 2012 the World will not end,
Take heart, I am here with you.”

 So today I go,
To lay flower petals at the SatGuru’s feet
That Holy One sent from the Divine,
To leave the Dakshina of thankfulness
At His Holy feet.

Like Mirabai to Krishna,
Not minding what others say,
I can only think and feel
With my heart:
Thank you for everything, dear SatGuruDeva,
Sri Swami Vishwananada,
My Forever Love – I love you!
