LOVE'S PEARLS OF WISDOM
by Mahavatar Babaji

Like fish swimming in the Sacred Ganges River, people swim through God without Realizing God. How can this be? It is the mind, the great deceiver that blinds humanity from discovering his own divinity. How can one rectify this simple situation which is of the greatest importance for mankind? Still the mind, meditate and chant the name of God, which is your favorite; this is the name which brings bhakti tears from the Heart. In time, when you let go of your attachments to this world and its material objects and desires, then you will be free to come home to me.

"The Prayer"

The Prayer Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban

"The Prayer"

I pray you'll be our eyes
And watch us where we go
And help us to be wise
In times when we don't know

Let this be our prayer
As we go our way
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your Grace
To a place where we'll be safe
La luce che tu dai

I pray we'll find your light
Nel cuore restera
And hold it in our hearts
A ricordarci che
When stars go out each night
L'eterna stella sei
Nella mia preghiera
Let this be our prayer
Quanta fede c'e
When shadows fill our day
Lead us to a place
Guide us with your grace

Give us faith so we'll be safe.
Sogniamo un mondo senza piu violenza

Un mondo di giustizia e di speranza
Ognuno dia la mano al suo vicino
Simbolo di pace e di fraternita

La forza che ci dai
We ask that life be kind
E'il desiderio che
And watch us from above
Ognuno trovi amore
We hope each soul will find
Intorno e dentro a se
Another soul to love

Let this be our prayer
Let this be our prayer
Just like every child
Just like every child

Needs to find a place,
Guide us with your grace
Give us faith so we'll be safe
E la fede che
Hai acceso in noi
Sento che ci salvera

LOVE'S PEARLS OF WISDOM

Nike is a name for one of the many brands of tennis shoes which almost everyone around the world knows from extensive advertisements. A name of God that you favor, of which there are thousands more than for tennis shoes, is not an advertisement as is presently presented for material things on Earth. Material objects have their Earthly vibration and will stay there when you leave. The names of God have a certain greater cosmic vibration that resonates with the Heart that contains the Divine Love which you are within. Let this name be sentient in your Heart, or live there, so that it can be a continuous chant through whatever you are thinking, doing and speaking every waking and sleeping moment. Be harmonious in your being and with your world and this Love will go with you when you leave this Earth.

In Munich with Swami for Darshan

Some of us drove from Shree Peetha Nilaya to Munich, Germany for Swami's Darshan yesterday, about 5 1/2 hours. After Darshan, at 1 a.m. in the morning, we were having pizza in the only restaurant we could find open at that time. Then we drove to the hotel, which was lovely, and finally into bed at 3 a.m.

Swami had the people chant a line from a bhagan for a long time while he chanted some other unique sound. It was a wonderful, powerful and electrifying experience. The power in sound can be amazing, especially when Swami creates these kinds of experiences.

Namaskar - The Meaning

Sri Swami Vishwananda - The Meaning of Namaskar

Gurudev The Divine Beloved-ed

The Love that the devotee has for the Satguru, the Love that the devotee has for the Divine is one single-minded Love. This Love is a Love where the devotee doesn’t expect anything apart from the Lord Himself. And in this Love nothing can move the bhakta, no matter what comes! When Meerabai was singing for Krishna, people would say, “She’s crazy,” but this didn’t change her faith, this didn’t change her Love; she was so concentrated. Her mind was so focused and one-pointed toward the Lord that nothing could move her. It is said that devotion has another name: one single-pointed mind. When your mind is completely focused on God, you will have Him.

Swami Vishwananda on Unity

Why do you think in all religions they chant the name of God, recite the name of God? Chant the name of the Lord so that you realize the unity between the Atma (soul) and the Paramatman (God). When you realize this unity between the Atma and the Paramatman, what will stay? Only the Paramatman will stay because the only reality of the Atma is the Paramatman. The only reality of the soul is God. Your soul wants to merge with and become one with God. It wants to attain his lotus feet. The one who has realized this will join. Just in the simple name Ram, it can be granted.

Swami Vishwananda

UNITY

In Unification, the Divine drives the chariot of Arjuna
And creates the Bhagavad Gita, the Song of God,
Builds a bridge to Lanka to rescue Sita
And shows Unity in this construction with monkeys
And bears and the power in the name through
Writing the name of Ram upon the rocks that float
In the ocean deep.
This is in the time of Avatar Rama.

Divine Unity hangs on the Cross of Calvary
Then blissfully rises again to show
Mankind he can do the same.
This is in the time of Christ Jesus.
He resides in the Himalayas for all time in the form
Of Beloved Mahavatar Babaji
Teaching souls how to create
“Unity with the Divine.”

He roams the world in a physical body
In the form of Sri Swami Vishwananda
To show man, face-to-face, how to open the Heart
To the Unity of Divine Love Within!
How many lifetimes and how many Masters have come
And gone and come again and again
To teach mankind this mission of Unity
Through Love in the Heart of all?

The world of man works on competition
The Divine vibration works in Unity.
Which way has love and peace?
Which has sorrow, torment and nashing of teeth?
You decide each day, each thought, each word
And each action which world you choose to live in.
Most say they live in the Kali Yuga,
Some Masters say they live in Dwapara Yuga.

Is it the state of the Heart that creates
The Yuga, the age, the time one’s
Consciousness exists within?
And can two ages exist simultaneously
With Master and student standing face-to-face?
It is true, so, some Masters say.
Mayhap, time is an illusion and
And thereby all time is Now!

In these circumstances. . .
Now is the time
For man to live in Unity,
God’s Time!
Take the hand of the Master, Sri Swami Vishwananda
And His Guru, Mahavatar Babaji,
And walk t
he Path of Unity—Bhakti—
The Path of Love and Devotion to God.
Therein you will find the harmony of the Union
Of Divinity within your heart.
So Be It. Om and Amen.

Love's Pearls of Wisdom - Mahavatar Babaji

Bees and birds, and flies, and roosters all have something in common. The life is given to each species by the Divine Creation of the all. When man was created, his species was given a plan, a blueprint that the Divine gave within the DNA of each human. This is endowed with a soul in each body. How many bodies have you had in your time on Earth and your rounds and cycles of birth, death and rebirth? For some, the numbers are in the thousands, and millions for some; it is written in the Vedas. Now is the time when your freedom is nigh. Simply chanting the Divine name of your choice from the Love in your Heart will bring liberation. Why wait any longer? I tell you: ‘It is time to be freed!'

Letter From Mahavatar Babaji

Jai Guru Dev:

Trials and tribulations come in every life; this you know. Why? Spiritual traditions teach us that God is a mystery and therefore we cannot understand Him. Yet, there are many ways in which we behave that can teach us to trust what our heart tells us to do in our lives. For instance, it is said that “happiness does not depend upon circumstances in one’s life but rather with the inner self." I will respond to the question as follows.

Question posted to Mahavatar Babaji on Wednesday’s blog comments:

Dear Utpalavati:
(Please note Gurudev and Mahavatar Babaji have changed my name --
Swamini Vishwalakshmiananda).

Dear Maha Avatar, dear Babaji,
I wanted to ask whether you could give us spiritual aspirants some advice on how to deal with the stress of modern life? I find that I am easily disturbed in my Sadhana through thoughts about the time, about my work, what I have to do today, whether I like what I need to do or not... this spiral of thoughts and feelings makes me very, very nervous and agitated and thus, effects my relationship with Him!...

(Babaji Continues): We quote Swami Vishwananda, your Guru. Ask yourself the following questions and then follow your Guru’s teaching by placing his teachings into your life in all circumstances, all situations.

Can we help ourselves in painful circumstances in life by changing ourselves?
Sri Swami Vishwananda
:” Love can be joy; it's not hurting always only. There is a mystical joy, a mystical form of love that you can discover even in pain. This pain is not a pain of saying, “Oh, I’m having pain.” For example: ‘Yesterday I went to this place, I hit myself and now I have pain.’ It’s not a physical pain and it’s not an emotional pain that you create with your mind saying: “Yes, I want to be painful today”. Pain of love is so intense. The Saints know about it. Their hearts pain to be with the Divine. They cry for it. Read the life of St. Francis. Do you know how much he was crying always? But it does not have to be intensive always like that. Right now we are talking about the pain of love, but St. Francis also had great joy. This sensitivity can manifest itself also as being painful. It's not really painful, but it’s a longing for the Beloved One.”

Am I surrendered to whatever the Divine sends and does not send?
Sri Swami Vishwananda: “During darshan, I was holding a little young child; it was so sweet to look at how the child was. She came to me, she had the candy, and the moment she turned to the mother and looked at the mother, she didn’t even want the candy. She wanted to go to the mother. It brings me great joy to see this surrender, you know.

“Then I said to the people: Imagine if the whole world would be like that, if they saw the Reality. If they knew about God and they knew the illusion, they would let go of the illusion and run towards God-Realization. It was really great. The child didn’t bother about the sweet, or the chocolate, nothing! No toys even mattered to the child, because the mother was the most important. That’s why whenever we do things, it comes to a point where we lose this satisfaction, because whatever we do on the outside, which is just material-centered, has a limit and it is finished after some time.”

Ask yourself: “Do I want to be free?”
Sri Swami Vishwananda: "We could be free, but our mind doesn't let us be free. We can see the Lord everywhere, but our pride always stops us. We can Love Him, but our expectation is always there, too. When one lets go of these three things, one will be really, fully into Him.”

Could it be that your Guru is teaching you through life, through your present experience, through challenges?
Sri Swami Vishwananda: “I won’t teach you the way a normal teacher will teach you. I teach you through life, through experience, through challenges. That’s how you will build up your spiritual strength. If you are not strong enough, you will not be able to make it, because to get Self-Realization, to get God-Realization, you can’t be weak. You have to be very, very strong to get it. That is how life is.”

Are you humble in your present circumstances? God is pleased with humility!
Sri Swami Vishwananda: “how can we learn humility? The best is to pray for help to look inside to see what God wants us to learn in any situation and pray for God to help us transcend it. It’s true sometimes those things come on the way that we don’t understand. Even if you try to understand, you find it very difficult. You see, it’s simple, everybody wants their own idea to be heard first, and they don’t want to hear anybody else. If you already have made up your mind about something, thousands of people can tell you to do something differently and you will have some difficulties of doing it. In your mind you already have planned it; you have already expected!

“Very often people come and ask me questions and I tell them, and sometimes they are happy and sometimes they are not happy. You see people want to hear what they want to hear, but in every situation we can learn so much. We talk about humility. One way of building up humility is to be able to learn from others from a situation which is wrong, but we have to stay in a state of non-judgment.”

The result of all this inner work, and above all any circumstances, any situations in life will be alleviated by enacting the following teaching from your Guru!
Sri Swami Vishwananda: “Open up your heart and Cry to God, asking: "God reveal yourself. Help me that I can call myself the son of God, the child of God! Finally you can say the same as Christ did: "Oh, yes, I am One with God."

Blessed Be,
Mahavatar Babaji

Imagine the World as One

"Awakening" Bhajans
www,bhaktimarga.org

It’s not what we see outside. It’s not what we judge in the outside with our minds, but, for once, truly listen to your heart. Really listen to the call of your heart. The call of your heart will reflect the call of your soul. And only when you listen carefully to that, you will not listen to the mind. Work towards this opening of your heart. Work towards Self-Realization. Work towards knowing the Oneness of God beyond all limitations that human beings put in place.

This Video is so inspiring that 1,699,122 people have watched it since it was posted August 29, 2011. Emanuel tells his story of being an orphan, born in the war zone of Irac. Then he sings John Lennon's "Imagine." This is an inspiring story and an incredibly good performance of Lennon's beautiful, wonderful song.

HIRANYAGARBHA LINGAM Manifested by Sri Swami Vishwananda in Kenya, Africa

HIRANYAGARBHA LINGAM

Manifested at 8 p.m.on 9 September 2011 by Swami in Kenya: The people in Kenya have been praying for Swami to manifest the Hiranyagarbha Lingam and have fasted and prayed for this manifestation before He came to Kenya this week.

‎"Hiranya" means imperishable substance or golden and "garbha" means womb, egg or the interior of anything. Thus, the Hiranyagarbha Lingam is known as the Golden Egg, it is the most important of all Lingams and its appearance for our physical eyes is extremely rare." Sri Swami Vishwananda

Scarlet Ribbons of Love

Sri Maha Lakshmi

SCARLET RIBBONS OF LOVE

When asked, the Rishis might say:
“Everything and nothing is in a name.”
On the other hand,
When Man attains God,
What does he have?—Everything!

The name, Vishwananda, means World Bliss.
Vishwalakshmiananda means World Bliss
Via Maha Lakshmi, the Divine Mother
Who bestows blessings of Spiritual
And material wealth on Her children.

The name, VishwaLakshmiananda, brings
Scarlet ribbons of Love, like the scarlet sari of
Maha Lakshmi, Herself,
Gift-wrapped inside the name of
Satguru, Sri Swami Vishwananda. . .
A rare blessing from the Divine.
Is it possible to earn such a name?

In the end, no matter how much
Seva, sadhana and meditation
One must strive to achieve on the Spiritual Path,
Such a name cannot be earned by merit.
It is like attaining God via Guru. . .
A name wrapped within the Guru’s name
Is a treasured and cherished gift from God,
By way of the Guru . . .
Ensconced in His Divine and Loving Grace!
And So It Is. . .Forevermore. . . OM and Amen!

Love's Pearls of Wisdom - Mahavatar Babaji - 8 September 2011

When a beautiful swan skims across the water in its pure white beauty, it warms the heart of the one watching the graceful movement with which it was endowed at birth. When watching a human being running a race in the facsimile of the ancient Grecian Olympic Games, the ones watching feel proud to be human and to perceive one human doing so gracefully what the human body was endowed with at birth.

A baby bird observed when it is pushed from the nest by the parent has not reached the graceful potential of the white swan on water or the human running in the Olympic Games. So it is with the human soul which has not reached the perfection, purity and Oneness with the Divine with which it was endowed at birth. It is time for the souls on Earth today to go beyond the baby bird stage and attain the stage of surrender to the Divine. You have to be willing to jump off the cliff, or surrender completely, without knowing what will happen to you. To surrender, you must simply trust the Divine, fully, like the baby bird trusts the parent who lovingly pushes it from the nest knowing this will create the situation for the baby bird to fly.

The Power of the Mrithjum Bagheshwar Lingam Cures Illness

The Mrithjum Bagheshwar Lingam at Shree Peetha Nilaya

The Mrithjum Bagheshwar Lingam is very special. From the beginning itself, when we did the inauguration of the temple in Steffenshof, Mahavatar Babaji blessed this Shiva Lingam and He gave It the name Mrithjum Bagheshwar, which means ´the Lord which is above death, the Lord of death.' And of course death is one of the fears that everyone has, because fear of the unknown, fear of not knowing what is on the other side where we will go. But praying to Lord Shiva, especially on the day of Shivaratri, He grants one the removal of fear from death and gives you an easy passing to the other side.

Maha Avatar Babaji has blessed this Shiva Lingam Himself and said that this Lingam has lots of healing qualities. Whoever chants the mritjum mantra, the triambhakam mantra, eleven times while pouring water over this Shiva Lingam, and receives the water and drinks it, the illness will be cured.

Shree Peetha Nilaya Music Course 1 September 2011

At Shree Peetha Nilaya, Saturday 1 September 2011, Dharmanda held a bhagan and music training course. It was reported that the class enjoyed the course very much and there was camaraderie all around. One person was said to have learned to play three songs on the Harmonium before noon. Perhaps this was due, in part, to the fact that the course was held in the Rarified Air of Sri Swami Vishwananda’s Atma Kriya Room.

Swami Spoke of Kalki Avatar Recently

The book of Yogananda, The Second Coming of Christ, talks about the return of Christ on a white horse. The Kalki Avatar of Hinduism is also riding on a white horse. The Koran says that the return of Mohamed will be on a flying white horse. All this shows the similarity of the Holy Scriptures. It is the same person. The Kalki Avatar will bring peace and justice on Earth. He will uplift mankind.

When will he come? He will come when everybody awakens unconditional love inside the heart. There is no date for this coming. God is not bound by any time. He is the Lord of time, himself.

The white horse symbolizes the purity together with a controlled mind. In the Bhagavad Gita Krishna drives a chariot with five horses. These are the five senses that we have to control. The Kalki Avatar rides upon the mind itself. Not only the five senses are controlled but the mind itself is focused, self-pointed and governed by the Self. When the mind is controlled, pure love will awaken and the Lord will reveal Himself in the Heart of mankind.

We Walk By Faith and Not Only by Sight

Have faith that what you are hearing within your heart is true. As long as you do not believe in what the Divine wants to show you, you will not advance. The moment you sincerely have faith in what you feel inside your heart, it will manifest in the outside world. You have within you the willpower of construction that comes from the constructive willpower inside the mind.

Sri Swami Vishwananda

A Story of Two Horses

Just up the road from my home is a field with two horses in it. From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes of one horse, you will discover that he is blind. His owner chose not to “put him down.” And the owner has made a good home for the blind horse.

This alone is amazing. However, if you stand nearby and listen, you will hear the sound of a bell coming from the smaller horse in the field. Attached to the horse’s halter is a small bell. It lets his blind friend know where he is so he can follow.

As you stand and watch these two friends, you’ll see that the horse with the bell is always checking on the blind horse and that the blind horse will listen for the bell and then slowly walk to the other horse, trusting that he will not be led astray.

When the horse with the bell returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, it stops occasionally and looks back, making sure that the blind friend isn’t too far behind to hear the bell. Like the owner of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are in need, or that we are not perfect, or because we have problems or challenges.

God watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need. Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse helping others to find their way.

Good friends are like that. You may not always see them, but you know they are always there.

Remember . . .

Be kinder than necessary. Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Live simply.
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.
And leave the rest to God.

FOR WE WALK BY FAITH AND NOT ONLY BY SIGHT!

LOVE'S PEARLS of WISDOM
by Mahavatar Babaji
1 September 2011

Waterfalls cascade in a semi-circle, magnificently demonstrating a torrent of the power of nature high on the Himalayan Mountain above the Maha Vishnu Temple in Badrinath, India. Therein is one of the places on Earth where people have encountered me and reported such to the world-at-large. This is not possible for everyone! There is a place, however, where everyone who is diligent in sadhana practice can feel me, see me and know me. The resonating heart of man holds unknown worlds within the spiritual heart’s chambers that the physical heart still attuned to the material worldview cannot begin to fathom. Be wise in your choices and choose the higher vibratory frequency of the sound of OM, which embodies all sound and all creation within it. OM resides in the secret chambers of the spiritual heart; this is a Divine mystery, nevertheless possible to encounter.
