Mahavatar Babaji Letter: The Guru Mirror

Let us love one another like Christ taught: “You have heard that it was said: ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew 5.43-45 - Bible)

Why is this important on the spiritual path? To become Divine Love, attaining and expressing the pure love like God loves, one must purify all negative thoughts, emotions, speaking and actions. Tough? Yes, in-deed! Ones who come into the environment and aura, care and love of a Satguru, such as Swami Vishwananda, eventually meet difficult circumstances in their lives. Why? Some of these enlightened teachers have been sent from the highest Divine dimensions, such as from Narayana-Vishnu-Lakshmi for specific purpose. Swami Vishwananda, in crystal clarity, has stated his mission to you. Link: http://virtual-babaji-vishwananda.blogspot.com/2010/07/my-mission-swami-vishwananda.html

When these Guru-assisted difficult circumstances come on your path, what is your reaction? There is a saying: “When life gets tough, the tough get going in life.” With a spiritual teacher this often is applicable. Why? People are frightened when the Guru helps them manifest tough, life-changing situations in their lives which cause them to act in one of two ways:

OneSome students may choose to look away from the mirror the teacher is holding. Often the teacher acts out a play with them in confronting their life issues—whether it may be substance abuse, power, money, fame, name, sex, greed or whatever. The people, who look away from the mirror, wherein they perhaps get a glimpse of their own face, the ego-self, and do not want to look closer, find fault—sometimes great fault—in the teacher. These people leave the teacher’s environs. That is all right, isn’t it! The best is to go quietly without creating negatively in your thoughts, words and actions regarding your tenure with the teacher. Remember, everything is manifested in the divine timing of your very own choice.

Two: Choose to face your innermost Self in the mirror the teacher boldly holds, with Divine Love, in front of your face. The people, who choose to look at themselves in the Guru Mirror truthfully, begin the process of vectoring all their thoughts, words and actions in alignment with Divine Love! This process of divinely looking at one’s self in the mirror of thoughts, words and actions culminates in the yogic union of body, mind, and soul. —(Image of twins, who even in sleeping, mirror each other in physical body sleeping position)--In Divine timing, these people who choose to face the Self beyond the ego-self, become enlightened, a Jivan Mukti, enlightened while living. The people who choose the number one option above, literally “would rather die” than look at their face in the mirror the Guru holds for them!

Let It Be freely unto you as you choose! I am Babaji, one who holds a mirror, a reflection of remembered enlightenment, in front of your face so that you may choose to view and embody the purity of your own DIVINE LOVING SELF, which lies forever securely in the heart of everyone.

Dearest Babaji, this letter really touched my heart. Sometimes when I look at the face on my own ego, I feel that I would really like to die. Sometimes it is so difficult to overcome our bad habits! Please, tell me, what is the best way to get rid of it?

Babaji: Please know that we can say a little about this and then you must really listen and take to heart what your Guru teaches in all the ways he presents the lessons to you all in darshan talks, videos, chanting the name of the Divine, spiritual rituals, and so many other ways. Please understand that he teaches all of you again and again the lessons that will set you free. You must do your own internal work, isn't it?

Controlling the ego, as you all know, is as simple as controlling the mind, one thought at a time. Get out of the vicious circle of mind chatter by chanting the name of the Divine of your choice. Mantra japa, as your teacher says, is the easiest way to control the mind in the ending days of this Kali Yuga. Your teacher knows who you all are to whom he speaks. So, are you all doing this?

Your Guru teaches again and again that Atma Kriya is a way to control the mind and find the stillness of samadhi through the meditation and techniques that have been given to Him and to other teachers of the Kriyas.

You have a saying in your world, "Just do it." Some of you are somewhat lazy, and not so secretly, you like the way you are because you do not want to make the effort to change, isn't it. Your ego, your identity, feels threatened with change, isn't it?So, take the lessons to heart that your Guru gives you, and "Just do it." -Babaji
