Letter from Babaji: Veneration of Swami Vishwananda

Mahavatar Babaji’s Veneration of Sri Swami Vishwananda:
Panthers and time tables, love and division, and home and eternity are subjects we have discussed here. Why is it that man has eternally been on a quest throughout the dimension of time and space and beyond? Life is eternal and must have a way of expressing itself. Even the hermit that sits in Samadhi in a cave in the Himalayas is expressing life as he is being alive in a particular and chosen way.

How is it then that time flies when we are having fun and slows down when we are sad or troubled? You know the experience of this, “Yes!” My friends, you have eternity and forever to express life. Relax, and bring your minds into peace and Love Divine. Your teacher, Swami Vishwananda, continually teaches you the way to freedom. On this blog, along with the many avenues in which He expresses His life essence, you see life grandly magnified in pictures, videos, singing, dancing, darshans, blessings, talks, travels, weeping, joy, and innocent children alight with Divine Love as they smile, speak and kneel before the Master of Earth Life. He is showing you the way to dance and sing with joy and to leap forward in your spiritual sadhana through Atma Kriya.

My friends learn to enjoy this eternity that the Father-Mother God provides for you. All the duality of the opposites of life, the pumpkins and the grand coaches of life are one and the same when you live in the Eternal Self [a pumpkin and the grand coach it mystically turns into, as in the Cinderella story-fairytale -Utpalavati]. Each experience, whether defined as sad or joyful, if you so choose, may pass through your life, your experience, like water over a waterfall. Bright flags in life experience become like a string of prayer flags blowing in the wind of time, ever hopeful and divinely blessed.

So it is that your teacher comes in Love Divine to show you the way to live life to the fullest. When you are in mourning for things of the past or wishing for things of the effervescent future, you miss the present joy which can be yours in the present moment in time and out of time. Swami Vishwananda, my disciple, shows you this daily in his radiant face; do you not see it? Let it be so that you are one that accounts for your life in such a way that you follow your teacher’s lead and flow with the current of the now moment into eternal bliss. Your teacher shows you the way through the many moments of His life where he bares His soul through his activities. How can He be otherwise anything but Divine Love? He shows you this way of being free through all of His varied displays of His own Divinity for one purpose only. That Divine purpose is to boost your energy levels so that freedom may be yours to express that which you are, which is Divine Love. As He is, so are you, as well! You have but to remember and begin expressing this Divine Love which you are, and will be eternally.

Let it be that Babaji represents the Divine Will of nature and man and beast and Eternal Love forevermore. Amen and OM. -Babaji

Gurudev Speaks on Discrimination of One's Teacher

SWAMI VISHWANANDA speaks about discrimination and feeling in knowing whether to accept a teacher as your teacher or not: “One has to feel. That’s why God has given mankind a heart to feel and a mind to discriminate whether this is my teacher or not. It’s not just to accept any teacher that comes in one’s life. One also has to have a certain discrimination and really feel deep inside whether one feels good into that. If you feel good that this is your teacher or that is your teacher, then wholly surrender yourself; don’t think about it!”

SECOND KRIYA

Swami Vishwananda: “Once you have mastered the first one, [the first level of five levels of Atma Kriya] the Second Level Kriya is just one exercise, one Kriya.” Paramahansa Yogananda in his autobiography identified the Second Kriya as Lahari Mahasaya taught his disciples, but did not explain the technique itself. Yogananda wrote that the burden of the years has no detrimental effect on a great yogi’s complete possession of the highest, supreme spiritual powers. The great yogis can renew their physical bodies at will, but sometimes take the opportunity of advanced years or an illness to work out the residual karma in the present body rather than taking another incarnation.

Yogananda explained that the Second Kriya as Lahiri Mahasaya taught it enables the person who has mastered it to leave and return to the body consciously at any time. Advanced yogis use the Second Kriya technique during the last exit of death, a moment they invariably know beforehand.

Mahavatar Babaji transmitted recently that etheric memory is an evolutionary frequency that Earth dwellers more frequently are manifesting at this time in the Twenty First Century.

Utpalavati: We know this is occurring from the many books, movies, etc. being produced in recent years from people’s recordings of their etheric experiences. The subjects of these productions include out-of-body experiences, remote viewing and near death experiences. People of all traditions and paths to the Divine, which includes everyone, are beginning to remember more and more from their excursions into the etheric worlds during the sleeping state at night. Most rarely or never remember this exit and re-entry into the physical form at night!

Swami Vishwananda, in the following video speaks about the five levels of Atma Kriya and the Second Kriya as given to him to teach by Mahavatar Babaji. He does not, however, tell us the Second Kriya technique or if the Second Kriya given to him by Babaji is the same as Lahiri Mahasaya taught or not. –Utpalavati

NARAYANA-VISHNU

Narayana-Vishnu, is the vedantic conception for the Eternal (ayana) Purusha (Nara), the Supreme divinity. This marvelous hymn extols Narayana as`all that is manifest and unmanifest.' It beautifully and symbolically describes the soul of man, atman, as the spark of the Supreme.

Letter from Babaji: Time Flies When You are Haviing Fun

Mahavatar Babaji: When the time comes for man to keep his promise to his Divine nature, his mind often rebels and thinks that he is imagining things. That is how it is in the beginning of awakening souls. Why is this do you think? When a child is running just after the toddling stage, he often staggers or does not run in a straight line. So it is that man in the awakening stage of his remembering The Divine and his connection to Him often makes a zigzag movement of this way and that, back and forth within the mind.

Let us begin to imagine that it is 12:00 a.m. and the moonlight is bright on your face as you sit outside your dwelling place on a deck attached to the home. A black panther screams and growls in the night [or in Asia, Africa and Latin America, a black leopard and in North America may be black jaguars or possibly black cougars]. Some of you may wonder how the panther came to be near you, as it is not native to your place. Nevertheless, imagine you hear the panther, and for a moment your mind gives you the built-in signal of the “fight or flight” syndrome. Then you decide to control your mind and know that you are safe as you can go quickly into the house if the panther should come closer. So the mind is quieted and the fear leaves you. -Babaji

“There is no place for fear; people must work fearlessly in the world. Maharishi Markandeya (ancient Hindu rishi of India from the Brighu traditon) has said that we must be fearless. When a man is fearless, no man can stand against him in battle – either in a battle in the material life or in spiritual life; he is victorious in all the battles of life.” -Haidakhan Babaji

I
once was sitting in darshan with thousands of people in an ashram in south India. A play from the Vedic teachings was being performed by young people from one of the schools this Enlightened Master inspires in the USA (the young people, mostly of Indian nationality, had traveled to India, but live in the USA). Suddenly an electrical fire burst out at the ceiling of the mandir/temple as flames and sparks flew outward and a hissing sound could be heard throughout the temple. Thousands of people reacted by startled movements and some making startled sounds. This is the amazing thing that I will never forget! Actually, I was watching the face of the Master and not so much the play at the time this incident occurred. The fire was behind him at ceiling level and he could plainly hear the hissing sound as we thousands, who sat in the darshan could hear it. He never flinched; he never moved. He sat calm and serene watching literally thousands of people in front of him, who momentary reacted with fear to the electrical fire and the sudden loss of sound of the young person speaking. If truth be known, he probably never batted an eye! What a lesson / demonstration in having no expectations, having no fear, being completely centered in the Divine Self, an Enlightened Master, The Divine Itself! I thought: I want to be like him! Obviously, I am still working on it! -Utpalavati

Returning to Mahavatar speaking:
The Divine calls you and you decide whether to respond or not. In this circumstance, you do not experience a “flight or fight” response. You experience the mind deciding whether to answer the call or not. And your mind thinks you are imagining that you are hearing the Divine call. You must learn to control the mind to find the Divine Within and the peace that it brings. There is something that is occurring on Earth today in the physical, material world called a make-over. The people, who have these, sometimes extreme make-overs, often feel good about themselves for a time and then, of course, they find that while the outside has had a make-over, the inside is still the same. They say, “Time flies when you are having fun.” But then the dissatisfaction with life and themselves creeps back into the mind and the physical make-over lessens its joy as time slows again.

Nothing will completely satisfy you until you locate the Divine within your heart and begin that journey to union with the Divine. It is Written and It is So. So Let It Be.

I am Babaji of the Light Forces of the Divine Nature of man and beast and God.

Determination - Gurudev 32nd Birthday Video - "Loving God"

Swami Vishwananda: If you shut the mind and be in your heart through love, you will see the kingdom of God inside of you. If you receive love with an open heart, it will grow always. If you receive love with an open mind, it will have it’s limitation. [This takes determination to control one’s mind, open the heart and experience the Divine Love within.] . . . You are here to love, just love, nothing else. –Swami Vishwananda

Paramahansa Yogananda: He who is persistent [determined] will realize God. So try your best to make meditation a regular experience in your life. . . The things you need in life are those that will help you to fulfill your dominant purpose. Things you may want but not need may lead you aside from that purpose. It is only by making everything serve your main objective that success is attained [determination]. -Paramahansa Yogananda

A short story of Determination (sent by email this morning by Achla, Atma Kriya Teacher):
As for determination, one may choose to follow the example of the sparrow who lost her eggs in the waves of the ocean.

A sparrow laid her eggs on the shore of the ocean, but the big ocean carried away the eggs on its waves. The sparrow became very upset and asked the ocean to return her eggs. The ocean did not even consider her appeal. So, the sparrow decided to dry up the ocean. She began to pick out the water in her small beak, and everyone laughed at her for her impossible determination. The news of her activity spread, and Garuda, the gigantic Eagle bird carrier of Lord Vishnu heard about the sparrow and her determination. He became compassionate toward his small sister bird, and so he came to see her. Garuda was very pleased by the determination of the small sparrow, and he promised to help. Thus Garuda at once asked the ocean to return her eggs lest he himself take up the work of the sparrow. The ocean was frightened by this, and returned the eggs. Thus the sparrow became happy by the grace of Garuda.

Swami Vishwananda: Power of Trust

Let the Light flow through you; become the Self and realize it, and know that you are the Self, and that the Self is acting for you. And when the Self is acting for you, for sure everything will be perfect. There is no doubt of this, when you have the power of trust in the mind. When you have this power of trust, this willpower, then you can create in the mind what you really want! -Swami Vishwananda

Letter from Babaji: Purity is True White Light

Mahavatar Kriya Babaji: Purity comes when the time is ripe, my friends. “A comedy of errors” is an expression which may be used on Earth when someone is trying to do something for which they are not qualified, and to do it at a breakneck speed, isn’t it? Well then, it is the same with enlightenment. You see, someone has asked me tonight (Babaji awakened me and transmitted this letter exactly at midnight last night -Utpalavati) [someone asked me tonight] for an explanation of the way to enlightenment as it applies to the neophyte, the beginner, the one who has not thought long and hard upon the subject. So I respond that in time, it takes time, sometimes, for a beginning awakening soul to find the place on the path on which he stands. That sounds like an oxymoron (like “wise fool”) isn’t it?

In actuality, most people do not know what their relationship with the Divine is or why it is they are searching for something or someone whom they do not remember knowing. It is like that for the one beginning to awaken from the long slumber, perhaps of many lifetimes. There are questions and confusion as to how he is expected to find someone whom he does not know, a conundrum of the puzzle type. In times such as this of the awakening one, the World of Spirit comes to the rescue of the floundering soul. One’s own Guardian Angel, as you term it, comes into the waking state to leave clues, markers for the searching soul.

A Guardian Angel can take the form of everything from apples on a tree falling into one’s hand when one is hungry, to an appearance of your angel in your vicinity of wherever you are at the time. The reports you have of angels at work on Earth at this time in great numbers is truth. Never fear, it is in Divine timing that this is occurring. A young, awakening girl in Croatia recently saw an angel in the back outside area of her dwelling place. She saw a form of a swan or great white bird. The bird, or angel, spoke to her within her heart and mind. She was receptive to the vibration which the angel carried and understood on a deep level that the angel had been sent from God for a Divine purpose. This angel in the form of a white bird carried within his beak a certain seed which he deposited at the base of a large rock there. This seed will grow into a bush which will be of a Holy nature. This young one will know the meaning of the bush and its usage in divine healing which will come into her awareness. The people who will come there for healing will be given a leaf of that plant that is to come into manifestation. The people, who have faith in the Divine, will hold one of the leaves from this bush in their hand, and healing will descend upon many.

What is the purpose of such an unusual happening? The Divine is coming to the pure at heart at these trying times upon Earth as the Kali Yuga is ending its influence upon the hearts and minds of mankind. As the Christ taught as in Issiah 11:6, (Bible, King James Version) , “A little child shall lead them.” "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatted calf together; and a little child shall lead them. (KJV) This is to be taken literally and figuratively. You see the pure at heart may be of any chronological age while having the pure heart of a child who has yet not been conditioned to the ways of the world. When one who is an adult goes within the heart and finds that place of eternal purity and then displays purity in all that he is and experiences, that is Divine Grace, my friends. So it is this young girl in Croatia, who recently had this visitation of her Guardian Angel in the form of a white bird, through the Grace of the Divine, will be a Divine instrument, a great healer of the physical and assist with soul attunement to the Divine for many in the near future. So Let It Be. It is written and It Is So.

I am Babaji who comes in the night to a messenger, and in Divine Timing in all things. Are you aware that the original meaning of the word, “angel” is “God's messenger?” You may aspire to come to me in a similar way; that is in Divine Timing. I am ever receptive to purity of the heart. Purity, in its true nature is God manifesting as light. Aspire to show your light which you all have in abundance. Aspire to shine that Love Light always, and in all circumstances. That is the Grace of God manifested in your own day and time, my friends. -Babaji

Utpalavati: Years ago I subscribed to a magazine, "Angels on Earth." After posting this entry, I had the impression to look for something on the Internet to refer readers that corresponds to Babaji's statement in his letter: "The Divine is coming to the pure at heart at these trying times upon Earth as the Kali Yuga is ending its influence upon the hearts and minds of mankind." I came upon an advertisement for the Angels on Earth magazine to which I used to subscribe; I liked it very much.

This is not a suggestion that anyone subscribe to this magazine. However, the magazine contains stories of people's encounters with angels in present day. Here is one of the magazines explanations of what it contains: "The purpose of the magazine is not to convert you to anything but, rather, to tell true stories about people who have had encounters with guardian angels. "Belief" is left up to the reader. Some of the angel stories are of the "miracle" type: surviving car crashes, shipwrecks, serious illnesses, etc. Others are of the more "ordinary" type, such as the stranger who is there at the right moment. This fits with the Jewish POV [acronym for "Point Of View"] of an angel, since the Hebrew word, malach, can refer either to a supernatural being or an earthly messenger. . .

"Angels on Earth is published six times a year by Guideposts, which many people know through the "Guideposts" magazine (inspirational) and holiday theme books. Although Guideposts is definitely a Christian publisher, the "Angels" magazine itself is non-denominational and even inter-religious at times. One of the three issues we found in the doctor's office [this is a testimonial from someone] had a story about a Jewish Holocaust survivor. Another story was about a child looking for a lost cat, with no real focus on God as such, other than being "guided" to look in an unlikely place. Some of the people in the stories aren't all that religious or, if they are, their particular religion is presented as a part of their personal bio as it fits into the story, not as preaching or "witnessing."

This review in the magazine advertisement was interesting : ) : "Angels on Earth magazine was mentioned in a blog I stumbled upon about a year ago. On a whim, I decided to subscribe. It was money well-spent."

If you are "guided" to look at this magazine or find other angel encounters just "google... angel encounters" for pages on the subject. Here is the link for the magazine itself...be aware that it is an advertisement: http://www.amazon.com/Angels-on-Earth/product-reviews/B00005QDWH/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

The BELOVED'S FACE

Never shall I forget the
Beloved’s unfathomable face.

His face greets you in darshan blessing,
Eternity reflected in his brilliant, luminescent eyes.
This beautiful, ethereal face smiles
With pure love and beauty Divine,
As his mysterious, ancient, wise eyes
Look into your vulnerable, priceless and
Naked atmic soul.

The Beloved clears karmic samskaras
From Earth-bound souls,
Who still wander in time and space,
Chained to the natural restraints
Of Earthly pleasures and woes,
Riding the winds of time out of mind
Following gurus and teachers galore.

Now is the time to
Blow a kiss to the winds of time,
And free yourself to dwell in Eternal Time.
His loving voice echoes in your longing heart:
“Come . . . Come. . .
Come Home,
Evermore to dwell In Eternal Time
With Me, and Thee, and The Divine,
Manifesting the triumphant,
magnificent three-in-one."

Know ye that now in your time,
Shiva is standing up
from
Cosmic Meditation
In the great and grand Himalayas.
Be ready,
Because when Shiva is on his feet,
Many dimensions stand alert.

The action of Shiva's destruction
And Vishnu's sustaining regeneration
Begins again, and
You stand...also... in jeopardy
Of winning or losing your chance, now,
For either
Attaining or temporarily forgetting, again,
Your Cosmic, Eternal Home.

Ommmmmmmmm,
Even as all this is birthing new life,
Never shall I forget
The Beloved’s beautiful, enigmatic face.
So…let it be…Love Forevermore...

Amen and Om.

Fulfill Your Purpose of Incarnation

You will fulfil the purpose of your incarnation
only if you surrender body, mind,
and soul completely to God.
Let go of your identity.
Let go of this ‘I,' this egoism that
causes you to focus only on the outside.
When you let go of your identity,
then the Divine will reveal Itself to you.
Then you will see the Unlimited,
and you will feel the blissful happiness.

Swami Vishwananda's 1st Meeting Mahavatar Babaji

Through an inner prompting to surf the Internet last night, and not knowing for what I was looking, I was yet assured that it was Babaji who was urging me to search. Prompted to Google, “Mahavatar Babaji," I skimmed the titles listed in the first few pages. I was ready at about page nine to stop, as I did not feel energy on any of the entries as to it being the one prompting my feelings that there was something that I should notice. So I left Google. Mahavatar Babaji then said with crystal clarity: “Page 14.” After locating Page 14, the article below is the one on that page that resonated with my heart knowing that it was to this page Babaji was directing me. I read with delight again of Swami Vishwananda's first meeting with Mahavatar Babaji.

After reading the article, then came Babaji’s prompting to place this article on VBV today. I had not read this article before, nor did I know of its existence. I have heard Swami tell the story more than once of his first meeting with Mahavatar Babaji at age five. I am always enthralled, and hang on his every word on the rare occasions I am present when he tells the story. Strangely, I always feel that somehow I know about it in a kind of “remembered” way. For those of you who have read this article, and those of you who have not, may you be blessed by Mahavatar Babaji and Swami Vishwananda as you read it for the first time, or perhaps yet another time. -Utpalavati

BHAKTI MARGA: Relationship between Mahavatar Babaji and Sri Swami Vishwananda

Note: This article was on "Google - Mahavatar Babaji" page 14, less than 24 hours ago my time when Babaji directed me to it: Now... Colorado, USA June 17 at 3:00 p.m., with people reading this blog and clicking on the article, it may be located on page SIX. I have written this note in case anyone is searching on page 14 :) -Utpalavati

Sri Swami Vishwananda speaking: "My tradition, actually, is the tradition of Mahavatar Babaji, a great master who lives in India. I was initiated by him and other masters come through his tradition also. He is the same Mahavatar Babaji who is in Parmahansa Yogananda's lineage? Mahavatar Babaji is in this world, actually, but he's not accessible to everybody.

"I am asked often to tell the story of when I first met Mahavatar Babaji. It happened when I was five years old. I ate one of the most poisonous seeds in Mauritius and I was admitted in the hospital. One day there was a man standing by the window of the hospital, outside, giving sweets to the children in the children's ward. All the children gathered around and he was giving his sweets to them. And I asked him: 'Tell me why you are here.’ I saw his loving eyes and I still remember his eyes. He looked deep in my eyes and said, "I came here to visit all my children and especially you." Of course, five-year-old kids don't understand much about it.

"Babaji held my hand. He put one sweet and one Mauritian rupee into my hand and said, "Do you know who you are?" I really could not understand what he meant by that. And he said, “Look behind me, do you see the light?” I looked behind him but could not see any light. I said, "No, I don't see any light." He said, "Look properly in that direction." And the second time that I looked, I saw bright light, like the sun, and around it there was another halo of light. And with a smile, he said, "That's you." It was very beautiful, but still the mind could not understand it. Then after that he said to me, “I have to go now because your parents, your mum and your auntie are coming." He just disappeared. That is how I met Mahavatar Babaji for the first time.

"Babaji's message is a message of love and unity. It's a message of reconciling one's self, one's mind, with one's true self, the message of self-realization. And his message is very simple. Actually, it's a message of love, how you can apply the universal love in your daily life in whatever you are doing."

Swami Vishwananda's loving veneration of Babaji: "When you fall at the feet of Babaji, think of Babaji and pray to him: 'If you could create this big palace, if you are the source of everything, why will I need just a palace? Isn't it better than I take you completely? You are the ultimate. You are the goal of all life. Let me have you!' In the same way, do not waste your time in wanting things that you know have their limit. Desire the ultimate, and you shall have it! Remember always the Divine Love, the Divine help, the Divinity ultimately within yourself. You are an instrument of this Love, and instrument of this joy and bliss and happiness. You have to reflect it, and for you to want to reflect it, you have to really want that reflection."

The following is an excerpt from the book Unity with the Divine. It is Mahavatar Babaji speaking through scribe Utpalavati (Jean Peterson). Babaji: "The following epistle is addressed to the disciples of Sri Swami Vishwananda; I am his guru. This Epistle serves as introduction of those to you who feel you do not know me or do not, as yet, remember me. Please read this Epistle standing true to your Divine Heart nature, and you will comprehend fully what I am writing indirectly to each of you "between the lines."

Part of the Epistle reads:“In this age, the Kali Yuga is ascending from its long, dark descent and is now rising into the New Age of Golden Light. We encourage you to hold the hand of an enlightened Master, your teacher or your Satguru, and take the steps necessary to evolve yourselves into higher consciousness. We aim to lay out the steps to enlightenment, one by one, in Unity with the Divine. I say to those of you reading these Epistles, ‘Take the hand of your teacher, your guru, your Satguru; take my hand and let us walk together into the light, the life-force of The Divine. Inside all of you exists the seed crystals of Prema, (love), Sathya (truth), Dharma (right action), Shanti (peace), Unity (oneness) and Ahimsa (non-violence). Let yourselves be aware of all these in every thought, word and deed. And you will be free."

Babaji speaking about Swami Vishwananda: "Sri Swami Vishwananda is a different kind of Spiritual Teacher. Once he taught within the traditional structure of the Guru Disciple Relationship wherein the disciple surrenders to the Guru, body, mind and soul. I tell you truly from the heart of Babaji, even then, Swami Vishwananda knew what He was doing! He, in Divine Truth, was teaching His disciples, through life experience and a great challenge, a different kind of lesson than that of ‘surrendering body, mind and soul to the Guru of the past!" -Babaji

Swami Vishwananda says: "I don't teach the way a normal teacher will teach you. I teach you through life, through experience, through challenges. That's how you will build up your spiritual strength. If you are not strong enough you will not be able to make it, because to get self-realization, to get God-realization you can't be weak. You have to be very, very strong to get it, that's how life is."

We refer you to Swami Vishwananda's website for information on the "Guru Disciple and Teacher Student Relationship as He teaches and relates to his disciples and students. And, in truth, this has been Swami Vishwananda's "New Way" of teaching from His beginning! http://www.bhaktimarga.org./

LETTER from BABAJI: Power of Prayer

Master Christ Jesus Praying in Garden of Gethsemane
“Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to His disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray. And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be grieved and distressed. Then He said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch with Me. And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." Matthew 26 KJV
Comment on June 15, 2010 entry: http://virtual-babaji-vishwananda.blogspot.com/2010/06/swami-june-2010-guided-meditation-video.html

Dearest Babaji:
How powerful are our prayers? Can our prayers really influence somebody's spiritual progress, or is it just up to that person? It is said that Tulsi Devi protected Her husband just by praying for him. Is it also possible for [the] so-called "normal" human being? Can we protect those we love by praying for them, even if they are not so much into spirituality?

Mahavatar Kriya Babaji:
Dear Ones: It is true that time allows for human beings to know and to incorporate prayer and the understanding of prayer into their daily lives. For time out of mind, man has wallowed in the excesses of human behavior from the standpoint of selfishness, isn’t it? The Divine has designed a way out of the concentration of human beings on themselves through the process of prayer for others. Once the heart is opened to Divine Love, and that person follows through in his sadhana practices, prayer becomes a “way of life” for him/her, see? Those who pray become aware of the energy that comes as a natural divine process of prayer.

It is said, “The family who prays together, stays together.” How can all this be, you may ask? You may have perceived that some are healed and some are not healed when one prays for others. In the Christ’s words, prayer can be comprehended as he gave the divine example. He happily was facing the crucifixion for he well knew his dharma. Yet Christ prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane to “show mankind the way”: “Father, not my will, but thy will be done.” Christ gave the higher teaching in that example of prayer. Take Christ’s example of prayer to heart and your prayers will be elevated and lifted into alignment with the Divine.

You have an excellent example of the power of prayer with your teacher, Swami Vishwananda. Many reports of healing have been reported all over the world from people for whom he has prayed. When people ask him for healing, he says: “I will pray for you.” He also says that he does not heal and that it is God who heals. (See the book, Blossoming Of The Heart). The Master Christ said: “If ye have the faith of a mustard seed, you may move a mountain.” Hanuman, the devotee of Rama, an incarnation of Lord Shiva himself, knew and taught mankind about that, didn’t he? Without faith nothing happens, for it is the very foundation of energy movement. “What a man thinketh, so is he!” If you think you can, or you think you can’t, you are right!

You ask: It is said that Tulsi Devi protected Her husband just by praying for him. Is it also possible for [a] so-called "normal" human being? Can we protect those we love by praying for them even if they are not so much into spirituality?

Sincere prayer that is aligned with Divine Will is never fruitless, for energy is never deleted but continues on and changes form constantly. Remember that you are in linear time as you understand time. Therefore, your prayers may take “some time” to be answered. The Divine responds to all prayer. Remember that in All Time your prayer may be answered in another lifetime or in the so-called future of the present lifetime. So patience and faith must be cultivated for prayer to become a “way of life” for anyone. Why? You will not be faithful and patient with prayer, and you will stop praying for others without faith and patience, isn’t it? Although prayer can be a conundrum, a puzzle and a mystery, it is one of the most powerful tools, or energy aspects, your Creator has provided for the unity of the whole of mankind and Mother Earth. Excellent questions!

May your life be filled with prayer, meditation and life-giving energy to your fellowman of that known as Divine Unconditional Love thereby creating Unity Consciousness. -Babaji

Swami June 2010 Guided Meditation

Note: Yesterday a comment was placed on this blog's entry for a February 2010 post: http://virtual-babaji-vishwananda.blogspot.com/2010/02/in-search-of-mahavatar-babajis-cave.html The pictures of Dronagiri Mountain where Babaji's cave is located are so beautiful, and the information so wonderful, that I felt Babaji's presence as I looked at the pictures and comment. I am placing the link on today's entry in case some of you may want to see the beautiful accommodations that are located on Dronagiri Mountain near Babaji's cave. Please click on the picture of Babaji (within the link) and the information that page contains (see copy at right above with Babaji picture, Dronagiri Mountain and the word, "Divinity").

Thank you to "Smile," who sent in the comment and link: (Signed in with "Smile" probably referencing his/her obvious "advertisement" of the accommodation location, and signed at the end of comment: Piyush (name or spiritual name??? which means, "Drink of the Gods" ). Thank you Piyush, I was delighted to see this area depicted so beautifully in this link. Maybe I will go there someday. - Utpalavati - LINK: http://www.dunagiri.com/

Atma Kriya Institute of Sri Swami Vishwananda has placed on VIMEO Video a Guided Meditation Gurudev did in early June 2010.

Swami Vishwananda: Meditation is not only to sit in one place and close one’s eyes and meditate, like we know it in the traditional way. Meditation is every time when you can look inside your heart and see the Divine.

Mahavatar Babaji: When you sit to meditate and time stops for the moment, how free you feel. Peace descends, when you cleanse and aline the chakras of the physical body into wholeness. The Crown Chakra opens of its own accord through committed practice of Atma Kriya techniques. The Divine sits in the middle of the Sahasrara, the crown chakra, waiting to be set free. Then the soul of the one who practices Atma Kriya flies free to come and go into and out of the physical form at will. That is the crowning glory of Atma Kriya; through diligent, loving practice you open the door to eternity, through the crown chakra, the Sahasrara.

FEELING GOD

Himalayan Mt. Everest North Face (The peak of Mt. Everest is the Highest Point on this planet)
Sri Swami Vishwananda: There are many ways to realize the divinity within oneself, like there are many rivers that flow to the same ocean. The main thing is to find the simplest form. The more simple it is, the more you feel free in whatever path. In whatever way you are, that is the best way. I can’t tell you this way you will realize God, and that way you will not realize God. God is sitting deep inside the heart of man and you just need to focus your mind on your heart. Try your best at all times to feel Him.

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS Thirty-Two

BELOVED GURUDEV

Wishing You a Divinely Blessed Thirty-Two
13 June 2010

PRELUDE

One early morning, November 2006,
I awakened to hear an audible voice
Which filled the room with
Luminescent light and celestial sound.
Dearest Gurudev, Sri Swami Vishwananda:
Your Etheric Voice in crystal clarity said 12 Words.
In an attempt to fully understand
My Satguru’s dawn message,
This poem sprang into consciousness.

REALIZATION SIMPATICO

“Pay less attention to Material Laws;
Pay more attention to God’s Laws.”
My Satguru’s etheric voice lovingly
And sweetly filled my room
With luminescent Light and Celestial sound
One early morn.

Times and half-times flow into infinity.
In the life of humanity, time does not stop
For even a single one.
The hourglass continues to merge into consciousness
As Material Laws solidify God’s laws of Light
Into Creation’s Face.

Man stands as God’s sentinel of the material world.
The grass of Earth covered with pure white snow
Is a visual picture of Light manifested into both
Solidified energy and the progressive
Chain of eternal life.

Let it be said that God sends the Satguru,
Who knows all about you:
Your life, your dreams and what it will take
For you to attain the Divine, the Goal of Human Life.
The Satguru encourages you to practice
Spiritual Laws, sadhana.

Divine Law stands as energetic movement
Of the God Within expressing Itself
Into material world view.
There must be a balance between Material Laws
And God’s Laws for the human being to become
God-Man realized – the goal of human life.

Chose to merge your consciousness with the teachers
Who came before you to planet Earth
And brought with them
The knowledge of God-Man. . .
Christ-Krishna-Consciousness—The Avatars.
And merge your consciousness with the God-Men
Who have reached Christ-Krishna-Consciousness
While living on Earth – the Jivan Mukti.

Let the image of God’s Love be imprinted on your heart
And merged with your essence,
Facilitating your walk into Eternity.
Liken this to the great American Civil Rights Leader,
Martin Luther King’s immortal words . . .
“Free at last—Free at Last—
Thank God Almighty—Free at Last!”
And so it can be, and when lived. . .
In-deed. . .
Becomes. . .
Christ-Krishna-Consciousness Realized!

Thank You, Swamiji, for Your Voice at dawn
The Satguru lesson,
And Your Love.

—HAPPY BIRTHDAY—
Thirty-Two

—Forever Love—Utpalavati—

BE POSITIVE

Sri Swami Vishwananda

B
e Positive

What people very often do is that
they go around talking positively;
yet they talk towards their own negativity.
What happens?
It poisons other people.
As you are all on the spiritual path,
you have to be positive.

Do You Seek Spiritual Experiences?

See Below for Shree Peetha Nilaya

Swami Vishwananda: Once, a man came to visit a certain holy man, St. Sabbas, in his cave while he was meditating. When the Saint noticed the visitor, he became very joyful. He happily washed the hands and feet of his visitor. When the Saint looked up from washing the feet of the man, he realized that this visitor was Christ Jesus sitting there. The Saint felt such love that he started crying profusely and said, “Oh my Lord, You are here!” At that moment, the visitor disappeared.

A certain lady in Switzerland was walking down the street and a beggar asked her to give him some money, and she willingly gave him some money. The woman’s only reaction when the beggar asked for money was to take some money and give it to him. The moment the money reached the hand of the beggar, he disappeared on the spot. Very often she talked about this story. So like that I can tell you many stories, many facts that many people have told. Through charity, through service, through love they have experienced so much. And if you really want to experience the same thing, open up your heart and let Jesus work through you; let Krishna work through you; let God work through you. Through that you will realize His Love. You will realize that He is always with you. You will know how much He Loves you and how much you can love.

Utpalavati: Some of you personally may have heard the story of the beggar and the woman from Switzerland. All of you who know Swami Vishwananda have experienced that he is humility personified! He does not talk about himself and his spiritual experiences in great detail and only rarely, in my experience (Being a storyteller, and because I have come to love Gurudev unconditionally, I very much would like to hear more of his spiritual stories). If you have read the book, Blossoming Of The Heart, you learn that in all the stories of devotees' interactions with Swami Vishwananda, again and again, he is always loving and humble. Mahavatar Kriya Babaji once told Lahiri Mahasaya that the virtue most pleasing to God is the virtue of Humility!

It is in this divine humility that Swami Vishwananda refrains from telling a detail that the woman who had the experience includes as she tells the story of the beggar's appearance/disappearance: "The woman realized that It was Swami Vishwananda himself who appeared as the beggar!"

MERGING With The DIVINE

Swami Vishwananda holding the Hiranyagarbha Lingam He manifested in November 2009

Swami Vishwananda:
"What The Divine wants is that all His children come back to Him and that all His children merge into Him. This is the meaning behind the “Churning of the Ocean of Milk,” and behind one's own spiritual path."

Churning of the Ocean of Milk
The Churning of the Ocean of Milk story represents the spiritual endeavor of a person to achieve self-realisation through concentration of mind, withdrawal of senses, control of desires and practice of austerities and asceticism.

The Devas and Asuras represent the positives and negatives respectively of one's personality. The participation of both the Devas and the Asuras signifies that when one is seeking bliss through spiritual practice, one has to integrate and harmonize both the positive and negative aspects and put both the energies to work for the common goal.

The ocean of milk is the mind or the human consciousness. The mind is like an ocean while the thoughts and emotions are the waves in the ocean.

Mandhara, the mountain symbolises concentration. The word Mandhara is made up of two words Mana (mind) and Dhara (a single line) which means holding the mind in one line. This is possible only by concentration.

Mount Mandhara was upheld by Lord Vishnu as a Kurma (tortoise). The tortoise here symbolises the withdrawal of the senses into oneself (just as a tortoise withdraws its head into its shell) as one practices mental concentration and meditation or contemplation.

Vasuki symbolises desire. Vasuki used in the churning of the ocean denotes that the Devas and the demons held desire (to seek immortality) as a rope and churned the mind with the help of concentration and withdrawal of the senses. Desire, if not controlled will overpower and destroy an individual.

The Halahala poison symbolises suffering and pain (counter-reaction of the mind and body) that one undergoes at the beginning of spiritual sadhana (practice). When the mind is subjected to intense concentration, the first thing that comes out of the process is intense suffering and great inner turmoil. These must be resolved otherwise further progress is not possible.

Lord Shiva symbolises the ascetic principle. His role in this story as the consumer of poison suggests that one can deal with the early problems of spiritual life by cultivating the qualities of Lord Shiva, namely, courage, initiative, willingness, discipline, simplicity precious objects, austerity, detachment, compassion, pure love and asceticism.

The various items that come out of the ocean during the churning stand for the psychic or spiritual powers (Siddhis) which one gains as s/he progresses spiritually from stage to stage. The seeker should be careful about these powers as they can hamper her/his progress unless s/he uses them judiciously, not for selfish gains but for others' welfare. This is the reason why the Gods and demons distributed these objects as they did not want to lose sight of their original aim which was to gain immortality.

Dhanvantari symbolises health and signifies that immortality (longevity, to be correct) or spiritual success can be achieved only when the body and the mind are in a perfect state of health.

Mohini symbolises delusion of the mind in the form of (or originating from) pride. It is the pride of achievement to which the asuras or the demons succumbed and thus lost sight of their goal. Pride and egoism are the last hurdles one has to overcome in spiritual life before experiencing self-realisation.

The Amrit symbolises the ultimate achievement of the goal of self-realization.

Lakshmi represents universal enrichment which comes as an automatic by-product of the internal self-realization or Amrita.

Why Can't I See God?

Sri Swami Yukteswar Giri, Mahavatar Babaji, Lahiri MahasayaMaster Christ Jesus, Parmahansa Yogananda

Comment question from Virtual-Babaji-Vishwananda yesterday, Monday, June 7, 2010- Three Sacred Experiences from Croatia: Dearest Babaji, why can't I see God?

Dear One: All are dear to The Divine. How do I know this? I have seen God. How? I believed that I could do so.

In times of trouble, everyone suddenly has the ability to see God, isn't it? Ask yourself why? It is because they want to see God in times of turmoil when they need the highest and most powerful help.

As Swami Vishwananda teaches you all: The stupid mind continuously doubts. The heart simply knows because it is it's nature. Go within the heart, not only in times of trouble, but continuously. Change the continuous doubts of the mind into continuous Heartfelt Love for the Divine, and God is in everyone and everything, and you will see Him through your love. How? It is simple. GOD IS LOVE!

I Am Babaji, One who knows God. Ask yourself how I know, and you will know that you know that you know. –Babaji

Mahavatar Babaji released publicly on June 7, 2010 information of His soon to be released second book: Dearly beloved friends:It is time for all of you to remember your Light Bodies and your capabilities beyond the five senses. Soon, we will publish our second book entitled: Bhakti Sutras of Mahavatar Kriya Babaji: Journey Into Freedom. In this book, you will find many clues of literally how to “see the light,” as the disciple shows you in pictures and words in the pictures and story - LINK: http://virtual-babaji-vishwananda.blogspot.com/2010/06/three-sacred-experiences-from-croatia.html. Three Sacred Experiences from Croatia

We received an email sharing the following three beautiful, sacred experiences, accompanied by pictures, of a disciple of Swami Vishwananda who lives in Croatia. (Printed with permission) -Utpalavati

Mahavatar Babaji picture with Divine Mother and Baby
Appearing on the picture
"A few months ago, while I was looking in Babaji's picture, Divine Mother with baby appeared on the picture of Babaji, and I was so happy that I could make this photo." -Nainaa

"My name is Nainaa and I live in Croatia. I am an Atma Kriya teacher and I have an OM healing group in Dugi Rat, Croatia. Since I met my Guruji, Swami Vishwananda, so many beautiful things have happened to me that it is hard to even try to describe them. When we believe in our Master, all the other Masters come to bless us because they are all Him."

Water flowing from rock where the Smiling Face of
Divine Mother appeared in Croatia""One day this spring it was raining, and when I looked at the back of my house where there is one big rock, the face of Divine Mother was smiling at me from that rock. Water was falling down on Divine Mother and when the rain stopped, the water continued welling out for a few days although it was sunny weather. "

Light Lingam appearing to Nainaa in Croatia"The third picture (above) is a Light Lingam which appeared also in the front of me one day after this "natural Abhishek" [of Divine Mother]. The Light Lingam fell down on me while I was thinking: 'When we LOVE, all the Universe comes and blesses us.' And everything is happening without any effort.

"It is interesting, today (Sunday, June 6, 2010) on the blog (Virtual-Babaji-Vishwananda) Babaji talks about a Light Disk and viewing into another dimension. I feel like this was written to me. And it is all by Guruji’s Grace. Guruji, You are my All."

Mahavatar Babaji transmitted for this entry:

LETTER from BABAJI - Imagine This

IMAGINE THIS
Mahavatar Kriya Babaji
Begin by imagining yourself walking along a beach at night. The rainclouds hold their moisture as they hover very close overhead. Suddenly a beautiful, magnificent beam of light bursts through the clouds and you wonder at the celestial-like beauty of the light which reflects off the ocean waves gently lapping along the shoreline. The clouds close in again and the light has disappeared.

You sit down on the sand and look at the clouds again where the beam of light appeared. You wonder if you have imagined the Light. Again the clouds part and the light reappears. Again you wonder if your have imagined the light. For the third time the clouds open and a Light Sphere the red and gold colors of the sun appears against the black void behind the cloud. The Light Sphere grows brighter and brighter as the clouds open further and further. You feel as if you have entered a null zone as all awareness of the material world fades away.

You sit in wonder at what the Light Disk may be. Suddenly you realize that this amazing light is a "Light Disk" from another dimension and somehow your inner eye has awakened and is showing your physical eyes this magnificent view into another dimension. Your telepathic abilities also have been awakened and someone or consciousness begins communicating with you from inside the Light Disk.

Through your newly awakened senses, which extend beyond the physical five senses, you recognize the Light Being as someone from your soul's journey through time and beyond. He is an old friend and you speak with him in a heart to heart and soul to soul telepathic communication. You perceive him within the third eye which seems to have an OM emblazoned in golden energy in your forehead between the eyebrows.

You recognize this Light Being as your Satguru who has taken many forms throughout your soul's journey through time. You bask in the remembered love and camaraderie you feel and you sense that he feels this as well. You sit in this energy and love for a time, and you realize it is the "anniversary day " of the Light Being and he has come within your consciousness to celebrate it with you. After some time, the clouds begin to slowly close and the Light Sphere disappears behind the clouds. And in your heart, which you have realized always communicates truth, you know that he is ever with you and always will be!

I Am Mahavatar Kriya Babaji, your friend here on Earth and beyond the Celestial Stars. . .Forever. Amen and Om.
