Narayana-Vishnu Will Take Care

Swam Vishwananda: We often ask ourselves how is it to unite with God? How is this unification, and what does one feel in this unification with God?
Actually, when one comes to a point of self-realization or one has come to the point of complete union with God, one doesn’t ask any questions of how is this and how is that. All the questions and all these things are in the mind. It’s the mind that asks questions

You have to transcend the mind to understand devotion. Unless you have transcended the mind, you always will ask questions because the mind always wants to be fed with negativity and this is where the mind gets its power. The more you feed the mind, the more the mind will have control. When fed, the mind will have the power to control you, to play the game with you and to make you dance in its game? The more you suffer, the more there will be to complain about. As long as you do not surrender the mind, it’s difficult. And how to surrender the mind is through chanting the name of God continuously. Loudly chant the name of God; surrender to the lotus feet of Narayana and leave it to Him.

Secret Power of Mantra Japa

Swami Vishwananda with Mahavatar Babaji Murti
From the dawn of time mankind has believed that the higher dimensions were beyond their reach and experience. In order for humanity to form a pathway to the higher dimensions, The Divine continuously has been sending enlightened teachers (Gurus) to mankind throughout time. --Mahavatar Kriya Babaji
Swami Vishwananda: Once a student went to his Guru and said: “Master, I am troubled.” The master stood right in front of him and came as near to his face as this microphone through which I am speaking, and said: “Why do you hang on illusion? You know that whatever is in the mind is an illusion; why do you hang on that? You know very well that deep inside of you only God resides. Why don´t you find joy inside of this?” Then the master said to his student: “My dear child recite nonstop for 24 hours your Guru mantra, and meditate intensely for 4 hours, and you will conquer the mind.” Of course the grace of the Guru was there.

The same thing is true for you, as the grace of God is with you. Chant the name of God for 24 hours. You may say, “What if I sleep?” How can we chant when we are sleeping? But that is the secret of mantra japa. Train yourself to chant the name of God throughout the day. The more you train yourself to recite continuously, and in every action to remember the Divine, the more it will become automatic. Even when you sleep you will carry on chanting and singing the Divine names. Once a student went to his Guru and said: “Master, I am troubled.” The master stood right in front of him and came as near to his face as this microphone through which I am speaking, and said: “Why do you hang on illusion? What Goes Around Comes Around

Swami Vishwananda
Swami Vishwananda: When you receive love, let the love flow. Increase this love inside of you and let it flow. Feel it in each part of your body, increase it and send it out. You can send it to somebody that you know. You can send it to nature. You can send it to whatever, but let this love always flow. You will see that when you have increased this love inside of you and you have sent it out, nature itself will increase in double what you have sent and send it back to you.

When this round happens [cause and effect, universal principle, what goes around comes around], this sending out and receiving love, it is healthy. But many people do not do it because it’s easier just to receive love and then to keep it. So, open up! That’s what is important. Know that every moment, every second, every time you think of something positive, you think of God. When you think of something nice, you receive this love of God, you receive this energy of God. Let this love work through you, let it work through each part of your body and also let it flow out, then it will grow.

VISHNU'S VARAHA Boar Appearance Day

January 27, 2010 Anniversary Day:
In this manner the Personality of Godhead, Lord Viṣhṇu, the maintainer of all living entities, raised the earth from within the water, and having placed it afloat on the water, He returned to His own abode.
Srimad Bhagavatam - Story of Varaha, Lord Vishnu's Boar Avatara:

Brahmā thought: While I have been engaged in the process of creation, the earth has been inundated by a deluge and has gone down into the depths of the ocean. What can we do who are engaged in this matter of creation? It is best to let the Almighty Lord direct us.

O sinless Vidura, all of a sudden, while Brahmā was engaged in thinking, a small form of a boar came out of his nostril. The measurement of the creature was not more than the upper portion of a thumb.

O descendant of Bharata, while Brahmā was observing Him, that boar became situated in the sky in a wonderful manifestation as gigantic as a great elephant.

Struck with wonder at observing the wonderful boarlike form in the sky, Brahmā, with great brāhmaṇas like Marīci, as well as the Kumāras and Manu, began to argue in various ways. Is this some extraordinary entity come in the pretense of a boar? It is very wonderful that He has come from my nose.

First of all this boar was seen no bigger than the tip of a thumb, and within a moment He was as large as a stone. My mind is perturbed. Is He the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Viṣṇu?

While Brahmā was deliberating with his sons, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Viṣṇu, roared tumultuously like a great mountain.

The omnipotent Supreme Personality of Godhead enlivened Brahmā and the other highly elevated brāhmaṇas by again roaring with His uncommon voice, which echoed in all directions.

When the great sages and thinkers who are residents of Janaloka, Tapoloka and Satyaloka heard the tumultuous voice of Lord Boar, which was the all-auspicious sound of the all-merciful Lord, they chanted auspicious chants from the three Vedas.

Playing like an elephant, He entered into the water after roaring again in reply to the Vedic prayers by the great devotees. The Lord is the object of the Vedic prayers, and thus He understood that the devotees' prayers were meant for Him.

Before entering the water to rescue the earth, Lord Boar flew in the sky, slashing His tail, His hard hairs quivering. His very glance was luminous, and He scattered the clouds in the sky with His hooves and His glittering white tusks.

He was personally the Supreme Lord Viṣṇu and was therefore transcendental, yet because He had the body of a hog, He searched after the earth by smell. His tusks were fearful, and He glanced over the devotee-brāhmaṇas engaged in offering prayers. Thus He entered the water.

Diving into the water like a giant mountain, Lord Boar divided the middle of the ocean, and two high waves appeared as the arms of the ocean, which cried loudly as if praying to the Lord, "OLord of all sacrifices, please do not cut me in two! Kindly give me protection!"

Lord Boar penetrated the water with His hooves, which were like sharp arrows, and found the limits of the ocean, although it was unlimited. He saw the earth, the resting place for all living beings, lying as it was in the beginning of creation, and He personally lifted it.

Lord Boar very easily took the earth on His tusks and got it out of the water. Thus He appeared very splendid. Then, His anger glowing like the Sudarśana wheel, He immediately killed the demon [Hiraṇyākṣa], although he tried to fight with the Lord.

Thereupon Lord Boar killed the demon within the water, just as a lion kills an elephant. The cheeks and tongue of the Lord became smeared with the blood of the demon, just as an elephant becomes reddish from digging in the purple earth.

Then the Lord, playing like an elephant, suspended the earth on the edge of His curved white tusks. He assumed a bluish complexion like that of a tamāla ree, and thus the sages, headed by Brahmā, could understand Him to be the Supreme Personality of Godhead and offered respectful obeisances unto the Lord.

All the sages uttered with great respect: O unconquerable enjoyer of all sacrifices, all glories and all victories unto You! You are moving in Your form of the personified Vedas, and in the hair holes of Your body the oceans are submerged. For certain reasons [to uplift the earth] You have now assumed the form of a boar.

O Lord, Your form is worshipable by performances of sacrifice, but souls who are simply miscreants are unable to see it. All the Vedic hymns, Gāyatrī and others, are in the touch of Your skin. In Your bodily hairs is the kuśa grass, in Your eyes is the clarified butter, and in Your four legs are the four kinds of fruitive activities.

O Lord, Your tongue is a plate of sacrifice, Your nostril is another plate of sacrifice, in Your belly is the eating plate of sacrifice, and another plate of sacrifice is the holes of Your ears. In Your mouth is the Brahmā plate of sacrifice, Your throat is the plate of sacrifice known as soma, and whatever You chew is known as agni-lhotra.

Moreover, O Lord, the repetition of Your appearance is the desire for all kinds of initiation. Your neck is the place for three desires, and Your tusks are the result of initiation and the end of all desires. Your tongue is the prior activities of initiation, Your head is the fire without sacrifice as well as the fire of worship, and Your living forces are the aggregate of all desires.

O Lord, Your semen is the sacrifice called soma-yajña. Your growth is the ritualistic performances of the morning. Your skin and touch sensations are the seven elements of the agniṣṭoma sacrifice. Your bodily joints are symbols of various other sacrifices performed in twelve days. Therefore You are the object of all sacrifices called soma and asoma, and You are bound by yajñas only.

O Lord, You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead and are worshipable by universal prayers, Vedic hymns and sacrificial ingredients. We offer our obeisances unto You. You can be realized by the pure mind freed from all visible and invisible material contamination. We offer our respectful obeisances to You as the supreme spiritual master of knowledge in devotional service.

O lifter of the earth, the earth with its mountains, which You have lifted with Your tusks, is situated as beautifully as a lotus flower with leaves sustained by an infuriated elephant just coming out of the water.

O Lord, as the peaks of great mountains become beautiful when decorated with clouds, Your transcendental body has become beautiful because of Your lifting the earth on the edge of Your tusks.

O Lord, for the residential purposes of all inhabitants, both moving and nonmoving, this earth is Your wife, and You are the supreme father. We offer our respectful obeisances unto You, along with mother earth, in whom You have invested Your own potency, just as an expert sacrificer puts fire in the araṇi wood.

Who else but You, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, could deliver the earth from within the water? It is not very wonderful for You, however, because You acted most wonderfully in the creation of the universe. By Your energy You have created this wonderful cosmic manifestation.

O Supreme Lord, undoubtedly we are inhabitants of the most pious planets — the Jana, Tapas and Satya lokas — but still we have been purified by the drops of water sprinkled from Your shoulder hairs by the shaking of Your body.

O Lord, there is no limit to Your wonderful activities. Anyone who desires to know the limit of Your activities is certainly nonsensical. Everyone in this world is conditioned by the powerful mystic potencies. Please bestow Your causeless mercy upon these conditioned souls.

The sage Maitreya said: The Lord, being thus worshiped by all the great sages and transcendentalists, touched the earth with His hooves and placed it on the water.

In this manner the Personality of Godhead, Lord Viṣṇu, the maintainer of all living entities, raised the earth from within the water, and having placed it afloat on the water, He returned to His own abode.

If one hears and describes in a devotional service attitude this auspicious narration of Lord Boar, which is worthy of description, the Lord, who is within the heart of everyone, is very pleased.
Nothing remains unachieved when the Supreme Personality of Godhead is pleased with someone. By transcendental achievement one understands everything else to be insignificant.

One who engages in transcendental loving service is elevated to the highest perfectional stage by the Lord Himself, who is seated in everyone's heart.

Who, other than one who is not a human being, can exist in this world and not be interested in the ultimate goal of life? Who can refuse the nectar of narrations about the Personality of Godhead's activities, which by itself can deliver one from all material pangs?

DESIRES

Master Christ Jesus: For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul [through desires]? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Swami Vishwananda: You think, “Now I have gotten this beautiful thing that I desired so much. Now that I have it, I don’t have the same love for it. I don’t have the same enthusiasm about it.” What does the mind do? The mind tries to find something else to hold onto, but as long as man tries to hold onto a material thing, he will always stay on the material level. If you turn inward and focus on the Divine within the Self you will feel great happiness and great joy. But for that you should secure your faith.

Paramahansa Yogananda: If a departed soul has unfinished desires created while on the earth plane, it continues to feel in the astral those desires and the wish to express itself through a material body. And so that soul in its astral vehicle is drawn again into a united sperm and ovum cell and is once more in a physical form. -Paramahansa Yogananda

There IS Only One God

Swami Vishwananda's hand holding
Hiranyagarbha Lingam November 2009

Swami Vishwananda: We often hear people asking the question, “Who is God?” I ask you now, “Who is God?” As long as you have not known Him, you can’t answer this question. Love is God. But how many people realize this love? In which religion does God really belong? Is God Christian? Is God Hindu? Is God Muslim? Is God Buddhist? To which religion does He belong?

Love, and the word love, and everywhere you go, you will see there is only one God, and that is love. It’s in each one’s heart. But how do we realize this love? We are so busy with this material world that we forget about the Divine love. We try to look for this love in the outside world. We try to look for this love in other people. We try to look for this love by traveling around the world. We forget that we have to travel, not outside, but inside, to find this love in ourselves. We have to realize our closeness to this Divine love, which is inside, in our heart. Some people will say it’s very difficult to reach this point, but I will say it’s very easy. You just need to want it.

People try to find the easy way to love. If people could buy love, they would. But love can’t be bought. If somebody comes and tells you, “Listen, I will make you be able to realize this Divine love.” It’s not true, as only the Guru can do that. Only by the grace of the Master can you realize this Divine Love.

Shivalingam Blessed by Mahavatar

Shiva Statue on banks of Ganges in Rishikish, India
Swami Vishwananda second row, left, at evening arati
Swami Vishwananda Speaks about a certain Shivalingam living on His Temple Altar at Springen: This Shivalingam has been blessed by Mahavatar Babaji. Mahavatar has given the lingam the name Mrityumbageshwar. The meaning is “the one who removes all suffering and inspires people to realize the Divine.” The lingam has been blessed with great healing energy. Whoever pours water over this Shivalingam while reciting eleven times the myrityumjaya mantra can be healed by drinking the water.

Myrityumjaya Mantra:
Tryambakam yajamahe sugamdim pushtivardanamurvu rukiamiva
bhandhanat mrityor mukshiya mamritat

This Shivalingam is very special because Mahavatar Babaji has blessed it with the same energy as the Jyotirlingam in India. Shiva appeared and manifested eleven lingams in eleven places to leave those places sacred. The Jyotirlingam is in one of those manifested by Shiva.

When you come to the temple at Springen, you may pour water over the Shivalingam and then keep it in a container and drink it if you are ill, and you will get cured. Have faith in it. When you place flowers on the Shivalingam, you receive the blessings of the Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and beauty. Wealth means not only material wealth but also spiritual wealth which is the most important of all. The worship of Lakshmi and the Shivalingam together is in accordance with the Shatras. Mahavatar Babaji has said the water from this lingam can even transmute
death and give back life.

Note: Someone indicated in "Comments" that the Mrityumbageshwar Lingam blessed by Mahavatar is now living in the "Babaji Cave" at Springen.

Rama’s Bridge and Duality

The picture above is an American Space Shuttle photo of the underwater “bridge,” purported by both some scientists and sages, to be the ancient Rama’s Bridge. Rama’s Bridge extends between Rameswaram in India to present-day Sri Lanka. This is the bridge Hanuman and Ram’s army of “monkeys” built for Ram’s army to cross over from India to Lanka. Ram went across the ocean into Lanka to rescue Sita from the demon Ravana. This story is recorded in the great Indian epic, the Ramayana, the epic story of Ram.

Swami Vishwananda: Once Lakshmana, the brother of Rama asked Ram a question while looking at Vashishta who was crying bitterly at the death of his son. Vashishta was considered one of the greatest Saints and was very knowledgeable about the Vedas. He also was very knowledgeable about the Consciousness, and possessed vast knowledge about everything. And this great Vashishta was crying!

Then Lakshmana said, “How is this possible?” Rama smiled and said, “My dear brother, where there is knowledge, there is also ignorance. If one is aware of knowledge, one has to be aware of all the knowledge, not only certain knowledge. It is the same thing that if you are aware of light, you have to be aware of darkness. This is the duality of things. But are we limited to this duality, or are we beyond this duality? In reality, who are we? We live life on Earth, but are we bound by this duality? In a certain way, yes, we are bound by it, because we are here, in the physical world. But if we identify ourselves with the true Self, our true Self is not bound by duality. Vashishta was not bound by duality.

Terror is Dangerous for the Soul

Narashima Fourth Incarnation of Vishnu-Narayana
Swami Vishwananda: Narasimha was the half-man/half-lion, fourth incarnation of Vishnu-Narayana. He incarnated briefly for one purpose. Bhakta Prahlad, Vishnu’s young devotee’s life was threatened by the demon, Hiranyakashipur. The part-lion, part-man incarnation of Lord Vishnu came to Earth to kill the demon and save his devotee, Bhakta Pralad. Narasimha demonstrated for man that God is omnipresent.

The form of Narasimha, most of the time, appears very terrifying. He seems terrifying, because whatever negativity we have inside of us, also is terrifying for the soul. Actually, terror is a danger for the soul. So the form of Narashima is more terrifying than terrifying itself. When all this negativity that is inside of us says, “Look, I am great,” what does the Lord show us? He says, “Ok, you are great, but I am the greater one!” Then He shows Himself in His more powerful form. And this Ugra form is His form of anger. The Lord expresses anger to kill the anger, pride, egoism inside of us. He is showing us that He is above all this. And if you hang onto Him, He will strip all this negativity out, but only if you surrender; without surrender it is difficult. If you want to do something in life, then give yourself completely to it. If you just touch on this, or touch on that, little by little, it will never work.

NARASIMHA DEV STORY

Master Christ Jesus
COMMENT AND RESPONSE: To the Person who commented on “See The Light” entry: My question to Mahavatar Kriya Babaji is: What advice can you give me to get rid of lecherous and intemperate thoughts and feelings.

Mahavatar Kriya Babaji: Help in any form must be sought genuinely. You know that cleanliness of thought brings purity of action and feelings. Here is a simple formula for manifesting pure thoughts, (thoughts generate feelings) for anyone who sincerely wants this P U R I T Y:

P - is for the purity of the Christ, be like His example. “As a man thinketh, so is he.”
U - is for the Unity of thoughts, words, and actions.
R - is for retribution that surely will come. Avoid thoughts that will bring reprisal that you consider unsavory.
I - is for the I AM within you which is the purest of pure. Find that, follow that which is the spiritual heart.
T - is for tomorrow which never comes. Be in the present and watch your thoughts in the present without thinking of past and future as their illusionary nature does not belong in the present.
Y - is for Yama, Lord of Death. Do not wait to control your thoughts until Yama comes to collect his dues. For surely Yama will come.

Purity your thoughts now, and in every moment of present time. Many teachings of which you know about give you guidelines for rectifying the correction you write about in this question. Let it be that you are sincere in the asking and sincere in your intentions herein.

-Babaji, one who loves you all, no matter what!

Letter from Mahavatar Kriya Babaji

“See The Light” Comment/Question : The entry yesterday on VBV Blog brought this question/ Comment: Dear Babaji, Dear Guruji: It may be that there are people who always are speaking the truth, always are acting right, who are connected with God, and who are seeing the light. Why do [those] people, then, need a Guru or a Master?

Mahavatar Kriya Babaji: This is a fair question. Why? Since the beginning of time, God has sent teachers, Gurus, from the higher dimensions of wisdom and love to mankind. It is written: “When the student is ready, the teacher comes into the awareness.” Be aware that a teacher is not always a person or an Enlightened Master. Any experience may be a great teacher, for instance. And, eternally, through all the dimensions, this is how it is! Do you think one stops learning, experiencing when he remembers enlightenment, that he is a part of God? No, a million times, No! Creation is an endless, eternal experience. In a rudraksha bead (nutshell), this is why everyone is blessed and incurs benefits by having a Guru, a teacher, regardless of what dimension one is experiencing. My friends, the Guru is with you to lovingly and strictly adhere to Divine Will by assisting you to reach the next higher dimension that awaits your presence. It is written, and It is So!

Rudraksha Bead Mala
Rudraksha (Sanskrit: rudrākṣa ("Rudra-eyed")) is a large evergreen broad-leaved tree whose seed is traditionally used for prayer beads (mala) in Hinduism. The seed is borne by several species of Elaeocarpus with E. ganitrs being the principal species used in the making of a bead chain or mala. Rudraksha is a Sanskrit compound consisting of the name Rudra and ākṣa ("eye”).

See The Light

If you want to be in the light,
you will see the light.
But if you refuse to see the light,
Do not complain
that you are not seeing the light.
The Divine is ever present.
If you want to see the Divine,
you will see Him.
You have to be sincere
in your wanting.
-Swami Vishwananda-

One person present on day of Swami Vishwananda's manifestation of the Hiranyagarbha Lingam said about this picture of a column of light in the direction of earth upward: "Yes indeed, the beam did appear the evening of the manifestation... the sky was very particular and somewhat spectacular. The beam/pillar of light was itself an astonishing phenomenon

The Only Path is to Love and Be Love

Swami Vishwananda:You are all here for one truth. This truth is love, equal in all of you, and present in each one of your hearts. This love is waiting to come out and to express itself. But so often there is a blockage. So often there is a wall that stops man from loving unconditionally. When you realize that the only path is to love and to be love, you realize how much God loves his creation. The same way God loves, the same way you can love. All other kinds of love are secondary, because all of you are here to become love.To become this love there are many obstacles you have to overcome. People think to love God is to love something separate from them. Like whenever we pray, we pray to the outside. We should stop separating the Divine and us. Try your best always to pray. It doesn’t matter which kind. When you talk with God, talk with the True Self inside you. Do it from your heart.

Hey Ram Hey Ram

Swami Vishwananda
In the life of Rama, Rama wanted to cross over the ocean to go to Lanka to get Sita. So He fasted for many days and prayed to Varuna, the Ocean God. He said, “Clear the way that we can pass. ” But after three days, still the Sea God has not appeared. Lakshmana, the brother of Rama was short-tempered and this angered him. Lakshmana took his arrow and said to the Ocean, “Ocean, I will dry you up.” Rama saw that and rushed to His brother, saying: “Brother what are you doing? My dear brother, I will tell you something, what you are trying to do right now is to kill Maya by Maya. It’s impossible, you can’t remove illusion by illusion. What you see here is an illusion, and how would you kill illusion by illusion?” The way to remove illusion is only by God’s name and spiritual practices.

Let God and Masters Work Through You

2010 New Year Prayers Offered to Mahavatar Kriya Babaji by Swami Vishwananda

Swami Vishwananda:
You may choose to become committed to sitting for an hour or more every day. In this time just be with your own Self and enjoy it. Enjoy being with your Self. . . and Talk . . . and you will see that deep inside there will be a voice coming out. And for each thing that you ask, you will receive an answer.

And then . . . ...Through charity, through service and through love, many people have experienced so much. And if you really want to experience the same thing, open up your heart and let Jesus work through you; let Krishna work through you; let God work through you. Through that you will realize His Love. You will realize that He is always with you. You will know how much He Loves you and how much you can love.

OM Healing—Meditation:
Mahavatar Babaji transmitted to Swami Vishwananda’s OM Healing Meditation
Groups recently: Fear is one of the greatest stumbling blocks on the path of remembered enlightenment. Our OM Healing Technique frees the soul to radiate from the heart outward into the physical world. Within the OM Healing Circles, one may literally transcend fear. Fear dissipates through the sound that OM generates. In the OM Healing Circles, participants become aware of dropping layers of armor piled on through fear accumulated in many lifetimes.

Gurudev Swami Vishwananda: Very often, when I talk about meditation, people get stressed and nervous about what is awaiting them. You see, to come into contact with this love and to feel this Divine Love, one has to be calm. If one is not calm, it is quite difficult to feel it. Just remove all the pressure from your shoulders and travel inwardly, calmly.

Arjuna’s Duty and Your Duty One and the Same

Krishna and Arjuna Battle of Kurukshetra
Swami Vishwananda: One major factor that stops mankind from becoming love is the mind. To overcome the mind, chant any Divine name. When you practice this regularly, the mind will focus on simplicity. Controlling the mind is your duty on the spiritual path. When soldiers go to war, it is their duty to serve and protect their country. They do not produce any Karma, even when they are fighting.

Krishna communicated to Arjuna in the Gita at the point where Arjun dropped his bow in resignation not to fight his own kin in the battle of Kurukshetra,: "If you will not fight this righteous war, then you will fail in your duty, lose your reputation, and incur sin. People will talk about your disgrace forever. To the honored, disgrace is worse than death. You will go to heaven if killed in the line of duty, or you will enjoy the kingdom on Earth if victorious. Therefore, get up with determination to fight, O Arjuna, just do your duty to the best of your ability, without becoming discouraged by the thought of the outcome, which may be success or failure, gain or loss, victory or defeat. By doing your duty with this attitude, you will not incur sin or Karmic bondage.”

Controlling the mind is your duty on the spiritual path.

The scene wherein Arjuna drops his bow in resignation is shown in the video below:

Churning the Cosmic Ocean of Milk

Swami Vishwananda: Very often we limit God. He takes limitation unto Himself for us! But know one thing, unlimited consciousness is for everybody. And to reach and get liberation and to get self-realisation, you have to completely surrender and accept everything.

When you read about all the Holy saints, you see nothing could stop them. The saints come to show us that they are normal human beings and they have achieved one with God. They show that we all can do it also if we put our ego aside. If we put what we think we need aside and if we put what we think to be most important aside, we make only Him the most important. Then He will render everything, and this is complete surrender. And that is what He wants from the people! God has everything!

What God wants, is that everybody, all His children, come back to Him. He wants all His children to change into Him. This is the meaning behind the churning of the ocean of milk [Srimad Bhagavatam], behind one's own spiritual path.

Krishna: Only a Few will Attain Me

In the “Bhagavad Gita,”Krishna said: “Out of a million, only a few will attain me. We hear things, yet, we still are deaf. Why? We choose deafness, because we don’t want to change. We say, “Yes, we want to change.” In reality, very few really and sincerely want to change!

YOGI TIME 2010

Atma Kriya Institute, Swami Vishwananda
Springen, Germany
Swami Vishwananda: Like a great Sufi said: You have the choice in life to take this way or that way. You are free in that choice. But you will come to a point where the Yogi which is inside of you,the greatness which is inside of you, will have to make that choice too! -Swami Vishwananda-

Mahavatar Babaji told Lahiri Mahasaya, "The Kriya Yoga that I am giving to the world through you in this nineteenth century, is a revival of the same science that Krishna gave millenniums ago to Arjuna; and was later known to Patanjali, and to Christ, St. John, St. Paul, and other disciples." Babaji said recently on VBV Blog: " Let it be that the heart returns to the purity that is Love Divine through practice of Atma Kriya. Climb the golden ladder of the chakras into the realms of spiritual liberation.

Patanjali: "Kriya Yoga consists of body discipline, mental control, and meditating on OM (Aum).

Atma Kriya - Why?

Swami Vishwananda
"If you do not give the Satguru the chance to hold your hand and guide you out of doubt in the mind, you will move away from Him."You will lose a chance."–Swami Vishwananda

Mahavatar Babaji

The heart is pure in its totality. Let it be so that it returns to the purity that is Love Divine through practice of Atma Kriya. Let the saints who have come before you pave the way through their example. Follow their lead and climb the golden ladder of the chakras into the realms of spiritual liberation.

Sit in meditation of Atma Kriya Techniques and relearn the answers to the four questions of life: Who am I? Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going? Swami Vishwananda and I have designed the Atma Kriya Techniques with our assurance that with diligent practice and Divine Grace you may answer these questions for yourself in this very lifetime! And so it is.

Instrument of Love - Rise Up

Swami Vishwananda
I want all of you to realize the love of God
that is inside you.
Not only that, I want all of you to become
an instrument of this love and share it around.
Bring it to everybody.
Just by the reflection of your face,
the light will be passed on wherever you go;
this light will be continuously with you.

RISE UP

-Utpalavati-

Sometimes . . . at sunrise
and in starlight, cool and bright
you inexplicitly feel down and sadly depressed.
Then. . .
a family pet comes and sits on your lap,
and you rise up through unconditional love.

Or. . .
When you are working on mundane
financial record documents,
a computer types a sentence on its own.
You did not touch the keys.
And you rise up through
inspirational words of love.

Sometimes . . .
when sitting and communing with the stars
you become one with them
in heartfelt timeless unity,
and peace is restored,
as you rise up through
shanti, shanti, shanti,
peace, peace, peace.

And Sometimes . . . Somewhen . . .
Oh how sweet it is . . .
when rain pounds on your deck outside
as thunder crashes and lightning flashes, and
you feel the storm’s majestic power and beauty,
rising up through being in tune with God’s
eternal power and Divine Love.

Precious moments spent in present time
erase feelings of being depressed where you
have been living in past and future time.

Rise up, rise up, rise up. . .
through living in the Present of All Time,
wherein reside the divine aspects of
your Guruji’s mantra . . .
“Walk the Path of Devotion . . . that of
Love, Patience and Unity . . . Forevermore OM!”

My dear friends,
I send you greetings from the stars.

Letter from Babaji - Gratefulness is a Virtue

See Babaji's Letter Below

ENGLISH SUBTITLED Video of Swami's recent TV Interview

Story from Swami's visit to South Africa in late December, early January: We were doing a yagna and Swami asked Gurunathan, the Hindu priest,(who at the darshan the day before had been likening the guru to a GPS to Swami's amusement) to place some petals at various directions (South, SE, NW, etc). There was some dissension between the devotees helping him at the fireside, as to where the true south, south-east, etc was located, when within the sacred and serious ceremony, Swami interjected: “I know the earth’s axis is moving, but not THAT fast.” Love, Jeanne-Ann

Mahavatar Babaji: Gratefulness is a virtue. The Divine radiates love continuously. When gratefulness is felt within the systems of man, Divine Love touches the thankfulness and the vibrational frequency of that person becomes clarified for those moments. My Dear Friends, it behooves us all to go within our heart space and resonate with the vibration of Divine truth, love, patience and unity. Please read now two Comments that were placed on this blog yesterday; they contain merit for everyone.

Blessings I send you, dear Internet Chelas.

Comment Number One: Once,Jesus was walking along the streets of a city. It was a slum area. He saw a young man rolling in dirt, dead drunk. He went to him, sat by his side and woke him up. The young man opened his eyes and saw Jesus. Jesus asked him: "Son! Why are you wasting your precious youth in drinking?" The young man then re- plied: "Master!, I was a leper. You cured me of my leprosy. What else can I do?" Jesus heaved a sigh and walked away.

In another street Jesus saw a man madly pursuing a beautiful woman. Jesus caught hold of him and asked him: "Son! Why do you desecrate your body by indulging in such a sinful act?" The man replied: "Master! I was really blind. You gave me vision. What else can I do?"

Jesus trudged along another street. He saw an old man crying bitterly. Jesus approached him and gently touched him. The old man wiped his tears and looked at Jesus. Jesus questioned him: "Why are you weeping, old man?" The old man said: "Master! I was nearly dead. You granted me life. What else can I do except weep in this old age?"

In times of difficulty and distress, we cry out for God's help. But when God, out of His boundless love and compassion, responds to our prayer, we ignore Him and fall back into our self-centered life. One must guard one’s self against this greatest sin [choice of expressing duality] of ingratitude towards God.

Comment Number Two: Yes, to be grateful always… If we look around and see what we do have, we may be surprised at what we see. We may see how fortunate we are to have such a nice roof over our heads, or we may see such natural beauty of the mountains and the lakes. [We could be grateful] just to be able to look up and see the stars when in so many places the lights from the city are so bright the stars seem to have vanished. So [we could have also] gratitude for what we have [such as] our health, a roof, a beautiful natural view, a car, a bike, or even healthy feet on which to walk. Being grateful for what we have is the precursor for enjoying the abundance the Universe wishes us to enjoy.Be grateful that you have a community; many do not [as] they live in rural areas with no one to share their faith. Be grateful you have friends who understand your God intoxication, your musical Devotion, your Love of the Masters and all the Buddhas and Bodhistavahs. Be grateful that there are places arising on the web [Internet] that nurture you and challenge you to be more, to expand, to become that which you seek!

Even Moses had to learn this basic lesson. When he came down from the mountain with the tablets of stone and saw the people had lost their faith in him and his ability to speak One-on-One with the Divine, he was angered and cast down the tablets and broke them… His anger rose and he cursed the people. When he returned to the mountain, God gave him the tablets again. He was told he would not enter the promised land himself. He allowed his anger to rule him and he destroyed that which God had given him, he even destroyed some of the people. Later it is recorded in scripture that Moses died overlooking the Holy Land and Joshua led the people into the Promised Land. So, even Moses was not exempt. He looked and he saw negatively and he let anger rule. When we look and we see what we don't have rather than what we do have, we lose focus and possibly even connection.

Thank you for this reminder. [speaking to persons who placed comment #1] May we all focus on the Blessings and the gifts that we do have. May we all become an example of Sacred Blessing and abundance, "..for all the Earth is Thine."And may the gifts flow to all of us that we may spread the Joy around. -Love and Light

You Are Pure Consciousness

Swami Vishwananda:
An expression of Divine Love, Pure Consciousness is who you really are. Through love you will develop trust, patience and unity. When you have these you have everything.

Krishna lived in Vrindivan until he was sixteen, and then he went away. After he left everyone was sad and always thinking of Krishna. They thought that Krishna had forgotten about them. One day Krishna sent one of his devotees, Uddhava, to tell the people of Vrindavan that he had not forgotten them and that he continued to care for them.

When Uddhava arrived in Vrindivan, the gopies came to meet him. Even before Uddhava began talking, the gopies began criticizing Krishna. They said, “Oh, Krishna has forgotten about us; he has left us. He gave us so much love and then he withdrew everything and went away.” Uddhava laughed and said, “No, Krishna has not forgotten about you; he thinks of you every day. He had other work to do in another place, and that is why he left here.

The gopies could not accept what Uddhava had said and they kept complaining about Krishna. Uddhava then gave the gopies the message Krishna had sent. Krishna said, “All that is and all that you feel is just a game. I create; I protect and I destroy everything by my own will. And it all comes back to me. Maya, illusion, had created a veil of separation. This veil prevents you from seeing that you all are a part of me.”

Like the gopies, all of you are here also to remove this veil of illusion, maya. If we just drop deep in our heart we can feel this love, peace and happiness. How great it is to love. Become one with the Divine. Let yourself reflect who you really are, Divine Love, Pure Consciousness

Have Faith In Cosmic Energy

Swami Vishwananda's Hand Holding
Hiranyagarbha Lingam Manifested November 2009

Swami Vishwananda: Through the centuries this world has been going on through hope and faith. So if you have not succeeded in something the year that is finished, well, there is hope that you will succeed next year. And you have to believe in that. Faith has to be there. Without faith, it’s difficult to have hope. But you must have faith in what? Have Faith in God who is inside of you and faith in this cosmic energy which is present inside of you. So try to build up hope and faith, and try to make this faith inside of you stronger. The more this faith is strong, the more you will see that you will become strong. The less the faith is strong inside of you, the weaker you will be.

When you realize that you are the child of God, you can do the same things that Jesus did, the same things that Krishna did. All the miracles will happen and transcend all the barriers that make you a true human being. You then realize completely your Divine Self.

Letter From Babaji - Open Your Heart and Change

Swami Vishwananda and Mahavatar Babaji
Swami Vishwananda: We come together for what? Very often people come together to gossip, the favorite topic of people. People who are on the spiritual path like to be together to praise God.

Mahavatar Babaji: Someone made the following comment on VBV yesterday: “I read that in a recent… Satsang, Swami Vishwananda asked…[someone] to explain something which is true for almost all of us. I remember… [the person Swami Vishwananda asked to explain] said something like: people come to Springen for spirituality, but then they find something else or someone else. ...

So here everyone should look at himself/herself first. Some may be more prone to also liking other Gurus too much, but one can get a focus only with one Satguru. Others may be prone to be more tempted to start a relationship with someone of the other sex which also distracts from God in a way. Others may be more prone to be drawn too much to the outside by giving to much attention to their beautiful dresses and hairstyles, or their performances in the arts or as a healer etc. Many talk too much, especially about others. The list is endless, and each of us may have his or her specific weakness. So [there is] no reason to talk about others; it is better to do some self-inquiry. (end of comment).

Mahavatar Babaji: My Dear Internet Chelas and all people who may read this: In truth, many spiritual Masters throughout time have taught this lesson Swami Vishwananda was speaking about in the Satsang referenced in the comment above. It is truth no matter who writes it, says it or teaches this truth. All of you know this to be truth! Yet, anyone who observes himself and others in life, whether it be at Swami Vishwananda’s Springen or elsewhere, will see this truth before his eyes and within his ears. Please take inventory of yourself regarding this great lesson and take it to heart and into your every thought, word and action, I humbly request of you.

Humble yourself, and change if you perceive that change will align you with Divine Will. Remember that humility is a characteristic of human nature the Divine most dearly loves.
If you read the introduction to Swami Vishwananda’s Satsang talk on gossip and judgment referenced above in the comment, you will read: "Swami Vishwananda: Jai Gurudev! (Satsang audience: Jai Gurudev!) It was just a quick decision of doing a Satsang, because today I didn’t spend much time with the people here. So you didn’t see me much. This (the Satsang) gives a chance to be all together.”

Babaji Continues:
Swami Vishwananda is omniscient, what might he have heard from some of the people who were there that day at Springen Center, as they gathered together? Was there gossip? Was there judgment of others? What did the people do that day? Did they spend the day in meditation, in prayer, in chanting the Holy Names, in OM Healing Circles, in reading the Holy Scriptures, in the temple, in the chapel, with the holy items, or walking in the nature of the beautiful grounds? Did each idly spend the day waiting for the Guru to appear and hopefully talk individually with them? Of course, it is choice what each does with his life, and we are not judging anyone, but only asking questions with the idea that each reading this, who was there, or not there, at Springen for this Swami Vishwananda’s Satsang of which we are speaking, will ask these questions of himself and choose not to focus on what others were doing that day or ever.

We know for certain that Swami Vishwananda did not spend his day in gossip and talking about others, isn’t it? Do you think an Enlightened Master sometimes takes a physical illness onto himself to alleviate his devotees' and disciples' karma? And then in his wisdom, does he use such an illness to teach certain lessons in various ways to those self-same devotees and disciples? What kind of example did Swami Vishwananda exemplify for his devotees and disciples the day and night of which we are speaking?

The night of the Satsang he chose, out of love, to spontaneously have an unscheduled spiritual Satsang with all those who were there in the evening? And…what was his message…his topic, along with his spiritual uplifting music and singing? Then this story, his example and teaching has literally gone around the world. I request those of you, who resonate with my vibration, to choose to ask yourselves these questions and not focus on what others were doing that day and are doing now. And as Swami Vishwananda said in one of his recent messages: “Open your heart and change.”

With Love, I am Babaji, one who always is your champion and your stand for truth, and light, and love, and enlightenment.

Judging Others Equals Judgment of Self

Master Christ Jesus Sermon on the Mount
Swami Vishwananda:
The word Satsang means “To come together.” We come together for what? Very often people come together to gossip, the favorite topic of people. Whenever there is something to gossip about, people like to be together. People, who are on the spiritual path, like to be together also to praise God. So like that, there are different ways where people come together to be heard, to discuss, to share, and that is what makes us strong. Coming together makes one strong within one’s self.

Of course one can practice one’s spiritual path alone, which is strong also. When you come together, the energy is completely different. It’s like everybody has one goal and everybody is vibrating the same frequency; it’s much stronger. So, that’s what the word Satsang means, to come together, to unite with one energy, one goal. We are not coming together in Satsang to see how beautiful this one is dressed. We are not coming together to hear how beautiful my voice may be, or how beautiful somebody else’s voice may be. We are not coming together to make ourselves interesting. We come together so that we can build up our foundation in ourselves and we can build up our strength towards God-realization or Self-realization.

It’s sad to see that nowadays when people come together it’s mostly to talk about other people, to gossip about what the other person has been doing. But what the person has done is not your business; it’s the person’s business. Mind your own business; but that’s what people do not do nowadays. They don’t look at themselves, but they do look at others, forgetting what Christ said: “The fault that you see in other people, the judgment you put onto others is your own judgment towards yourself”.

The Life Cycle

Swami Vishwananda: How can somebody say something belongs to them when nothing belongs to them? When you were born what did you carry with you? Did you carry anything with you? You came empty-handed. So how can you say that something belongs to somebody? You came empty-handed and you will also die empty-handed. You will not carry anything with you. The only things that you will carry with you are the good deeds you did in this world and the love of God. So, you take everything from the world and you will have to give it all back to the world. This is the cycle.

Mahavatar Babaji: As a soul evolves lifetime after lifetime on Earth, he is born into bodies that offer the greatest opportunity to evolve into the next level of mathematical equation for human attainment. Souls ensnared upon the wheel of karma must begin at some point to free themselves from the spokes of the wheel and go within to the center. It is in the center of the wheel where one finds the real Self. And therein one finds peace, equality with all of creation, love, harmony and the stillness where God resides.

My dear friends, you will find that the essence of the Self, the soul of being is the eternal acquiescence of acceptance that flows into eternity. All material thought processes that produce physicality you leave behind you at the time of transition. It is evident that this is so. Then I ask you now: Why spend all or most of your time in these material endeavors? Seek to know yourself at the level of the foundation or essence.

Thought for the day: Meditate, meditate, and meditate. And so it is this essence of yourself that you carry with you coming and going,” isn’t it? Amen and OM.

Commit to Open Your Heart and Change; Do It Now

If you want to love, love now. If you want to open your heart, open it now and do not think of how you will open your heart. There is another point in it. People say, “I want to open my heart, but it’s very difficult.” What is happening? Wanting to open the heart is positive; then directly people put a negative on it by thinking it is difficult! What is the result of this? It is a simple mathematical equation of plus and minus that equals minus. Actually, it is about just doing it and wanting to open the heart.

The power that your mind creates at that moment, when you think, is very, very strong. For example, the first thought that passes through your mind in the morning is your program for the day. What do you think the first thing? You may think, “What will I do today? And then you carry on. The day automatically rolls accordingly to what you thought in the morning. It is because, in the morning, the mind has rested and the power of all thoughts have been gathered together and focused on the one point of the moment you open your eyes. The instant the mind comes into action, those thoughts make your day. If you wake up saying, ”Oh, my goodness, I have a headache, even if you don’t have a headache, you will begin to have a headache.” You will have a headache because you create it with your mind, your thoughts! If you want to love, love now. If you want to open your heart, open it now!

Swami's Blessing - Divine Eyes In The Sky

Swami Vishwananda in Samadhi, in Babaji Cave at Springen, soon after manifesting the Hiranyagarbha Lingam in November 2009. The lingam was returned to its other dimensional place after 10 hours.

Swami Vishwananda

Wishes you all a Happy New Year

and

May the blessing of the Divine be with you all

in this coming New Year.

May the resolution to change and

opening the heart be your goal.

Much Love and Blessings

Swami Vishwananda declared that the "eyes in the sky"
